As a dedicated Marvel fan with over two decades of comic book reading under my belt and countless movie marathons to my name, I can’t help but get excited about the prospect of Shuri joining the Avengers fold! Alex Perez’s insights on upcoming projects have always been spot-on, so when he hints at Shuri appearing in future Avengers movies, it’s hard not to feel a thrill of anticipation.
The sequel to “Black Panther,” titled “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” didn’t quite match the success of its predecessor, but it did introduce noteworthy characters such as Riri Williams and Namor, and introduced a new Black Panther in T’Challa’s sister, Shuri.
Given that Wakanda will significantly feature in future Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) productions, fans have been eagerly awaiting when Shuri might reappear. It was recently disclosed that Black Panther 3 is under production, although it won’t hit theaters for a few years yet.
Recently, Alex Perez, hailing from Cosmic Circus, conducted an Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) session on Discord, where he unveiled some insights about the upcoming projects they’re working on.
According to Perez, it’s likely that Shuri could show up in the Avengers films, but there may be more than one Black Panther character. Additionally, he hinted at a speculation suggesting Michael B. Jordan could reprise his role as Killmonger in a future Avengers movie.
Alex Perez: It’s hard for me to envision the Avengers without Shuri making an appearance, so I suspect she will be there. To stir things up even more, I don’t think she’ll be the only Black Panther in the mix. A tidbit I picked up that might be intriguing to share: There’s a rumor floating around that Michael B. Jordan could reappear in one of the future Avengers movies.
Given the circumstances, it’s quite logical that Shuri could feature in the forthcoming Avengers movies, considering her anticipated role as a significant team member, stepping into her brother’s position.
The following question pertains to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who has shown disapproval towards Wakanda and attempted to stir up issues within the region in the past. Despite this, she is set to feature in the film Thunderbolts. However, it’s important to note that there are no current indications suggesting that Wakanda will play a significant role in that movie.
