Should you pull for Yoshimi (Band)/Kazusa (Band)/Ako Banners?

Introduction

As a seasoned veteran of countless raids and challenge modes, I can wholeheartedly vouch for the insights presented in this guide. Having traversed the treacherous landscapes of Insane+ raids, I can attest to the indispensable roles these students play.

After the latest sequence of reoccurring advertisements, we’ve been introduced to a new event and two fresh banners featuring Yoshimi, Kazusa, and a repeat for Ako. In this write-up, let’s quickly discuss whether any of these characters are worth investing in and if there have been any updates since their initial release.

Yoshimi (Band) Overview

Yoshimi (the Band) is a 3-star Explosive Striker student, primarily recognized for her extraordinary single-target damage with her basic skill dealing damage comparable to the EX skills of other damage dealers. Her EX skill offers a substantial 112% boost to both attack and attack speed for 50 seconds. However, it’s important to note that B.Yoshimi may not surpass D.Hina in overall damage output except during Fury of Set (Explosive). The high cost of 10 for her EX skill can pose challenges when fitting it into certain team rotations. Nevertheless, B.Yoshimi excels significantly during Fury of Set (Explosive), as the increased team size doubling cost regeneration makes casting her EX skill less problematic due to the cost regen adjustment.

Given that we understand what Yoshimi (Band) contributes to your team, should she be considered a valuable character to acquire? If you have a special fondness for Yoshimi (Band), let this guide not deter you from acquiring her; after all, it’s your game and account.

If you plan on clearing higher floors of Fury of Set (Explosive), then Yoshimi (Band) is a must-have. She is the premier choice for a damage dealer and beats out D.Hina by a significant margin while being a decent choice for other raids if you need a third team. Note that B.Yoshimi shares a banner with Ako, if you do not have Ako we highly recommend pulling for her first. Keep in mind, B.Yoshimi is a Limited student and cannot be pulled off-banner when she leaves this rotation. If you want to pull for now would be a decent opportunity to do so.

Kazusa (Band) Overview

Band Kazusa, a 3-star Striker with an explosive playstyle, serves primarily as an Attack Speed (ATK SPD) and Attack (ATK) buffer in the Fury of Set scenario. Her specialty lies in enhancing her team’s ATK SPD through her EX Skill. Moreover, she is exceptionally beneficial for B.Yoshimi, providing two additional stacks of Sugar Rush, boosting B.Yoshimi’s basic skill damage by a cumulative 10%.

If your strategy involves tackling higher floors in Fury of Set (Explosive), then yes, B.Kazusa could be a valuable addition to your team. Her skills primarily focus on enhancing AoE Attack Speed and providing a strong Auto Attacker performance herself.

Ako Overview

Ako is a recurring Permanent student, distinguished as a 3-star Mystic. Known as a vital foundation in nearly all Hypercarry teams and challenge content, Ako offers an impressive combination of abilities. Her skill set primarily focuses on granting a significant buff to one ally, boosting their Critical Rate by 39.5% and Critical Damage by 73.3%.

With Ako’s standard setup not in play, we can now discuss her applicability in specific situations. While Ako is an indispensable component in every raid and often considered top-tier or nearly essential for elite teams, we will focus on instances where she might not be the optimal choice.

Absolutely! If you don’t possess Ako and prefer not to receive an automatic gold reward in battles, it’s crucial to acquire your own Ako. The exception would be if you already own Ako or have no intention of participating in Insane+ raids.
