Introduction
As a longtime Blue Archive player who’s been through countless banners and roster builds, I can confidently say that each character has their unique strengths and weaknesses. Let’s take a look at Ui, Hinata, and Sakurako, the rerun characters from this event.
As the New Year event has wrapped up and I’m back to my regular gaming routine, I find myself facing a familiar sight: a double banner featuring old favorites alongside a fresh batch of rerun students. In this post, I’ll quickly share my thoughts on whether any of these characters are worth adding to my team.
Ui Overview
Ui is a 3-star Limited character classified as an “Explosive” support, introduced at the start of the game. She offers functionality comparable to NY.Fuuka, but with two distinct uses for her cost reduction that don’t expire. This enables her to reduce the cost of two students simultaneously and switch between them to amplify the impact of her cost reduction. Additionally, Ui comes equipped with a Critical Hit boost on her basic skill, which benefits all nearby allies in a circular area-of-effect (AoE).
Should you pull on this banner?
Given that we understand what benefits Ui offers to the team, should she be considered a valuable addition to your roster? Ultimately, if you find Ui appealing, there’s no reason not to include her in your lineup; after all, it’s your gaming experience and progress that matters most.
In general, yes, Ui continues to serve as a reliable support character who can facilitate specific team compositions by accommodating two expensive units in one team. While New York Fuuka is more commonly used and universally accepted, Ui favors team setups with high-cost students and offers an ATK (Attack) buff.
Hinata Overview
Hinata, originally a 3★ Mystic character, has significantly improved from being outperformed in all damage dealing aspects to becoming one of the top choices for both Area of Effect (AoE) and Single Target battles in Mystic Raids. This transformation is largely attributed to the introduction of her Bond Item, “Inventory Management Ledger,” which enhances Hinata’s attack power and influences her Basic Skill.
Should you pull on this banner?
Considering we’ve learned about Hinata’s contributions to the team, the question becomes: Is she a character worth investing in for your game? If Hinata appeals to you, feel free to make the move to acquire her. After all, it’s your game and your decision.
For those who are new or not interested in competition, we suggest ignoring this banner as Hinata is another damage dealer with a Mystic class, one you could borrow. However, it’s worth noting that she needs her Bond Item and UE50 to deal maximum damage, which might be costly for many players.
Sakurako Overview
Sakurako is a persistent 3-star character primarily focused on dealing single-target damage, with a specialty in applying the Focused Assault effect to one enemy using her EX Skill. Most of her damage output comes from basic attacks. In Goz’s P2 phase, she’s particularly useful for targeting the correct clone. Additionally, Sakurako has gained popularity in the Fury of Set challenge, as it benefits single-target auto attackers like herself.
Should you pull on this banner?
Given that we understand the contributions Sakurako makes to the team, should she be considered a valuable addition to your roster? If she aligns with the type of student you are looking for in the game, then by all means, consider summoning her. Ultimately, it’s your game and your decision.
Whether or not you should pull for Sakurako will highly depend on your account’s roster. If you already have a student who can apply Focus Fire onto an enemy, then Sakurako is a safe skip. However, if you do not have a student who can apply Focus Fire, then Sakurako is a high priority pick to clear Goz.
