Introduction
As a seasoned gamer with over a decade of gaming under my belt, I must admit that I have seen my fair share of rerun banners. However, the recent set featuring Izuna (Swimsuit), Chise (Swimsuit), and Mimori (Swimsuit) has certainly piqued my interest. Let’s dive into these characters one by one, shall we?
After a series of repeat advertisements, we’re now seeing more reruns featuring Izuna, Chise, and Mimori in their swimsuit versions. This piece will provide a quick overview on whether it’s worthwhile to pull for any of these characters and if there have been any changes since they were first released.
Izuna (Swimsuit) Overview
In simpler terms, Character Izuna (Swimsuit), a 3-star Mystic Striker, is often included in teams due to her versatility. Her primary role is as a debuffer, where every six auto attacks, she applies a Critical Damage Resistance reduction. This effect is amplified by her secondary skill, which boosts her Attack Speed after landing 25 critical hits and ensures the Critical Damage Resistance debuff is always active. Furthermore, she’s frequently used in Goz P2 for her Focus Fire debuff. Lastly, her EX Skill has a low cost, enabling quick skill rotation. In summary, Izuna is a reliable student who excels when the boss does not exploit her armor type.

Given that we understand the benefits Izuna (Swimsuit) brings to the team, should she be considered a worthwhile character to acquire? If Izuna (Swimsuit) happens to be your preferred student, then this analysis shouldn’t deter you from summoning her since it’s ultimately your game and personal decision.
Generally, we would consider S.Izuna a must-pull with the sheer amount of utility she provides. With the meta being centered around crits, having a student who can have 100% uptime on a Crit DMG RES debuff is a no-brainer. Unfortunately, her banner comes at an awkward time, as Anniversary banners are just around the corner. If you have spare Pyroxenes to spare, we highly recommend pulling for S.Izuna. She is also a Limited character and cannot be pulled off rate-up. If you are low on Pyroxenes, saving for the Anniversary banners is usually the better option.
Chise (Swimsuit) Overview
The character named Chise (Swimsuit) is a 3-star Mystic Striker designed primarily for Area of Effect damage and Crowd Control. However, she didn’t perform well as an AoE damage dealer because there are many other options available. Since her damage isn’t particularly impressive, it’s fine to keep her at 3-stars as her Enhanced+ only boosts Attack. As a Crowd Control unit, Chise has been successful in some servers during the recent rerun of HOD from May 1, 2024 to May 8, 2024, with a usage rate of 53% in the top 100 teams. She was often included in teams as a Crowd Control unit instead of Kayoko for higher rankings.
Should you pull on this banner?
Given that we understand the benefits Chise (Swimsuit) brings to the team, should she be a character you consider investing in? To put it simply, if Chise (Swimsuit) happens to be your preferred student, let this guidance not deter you from making your choice. Keep in mind, it’s ultimately your game and account to manage as you see fit.
If your goal is to only clear Torment, then S.Chise is an easy skip. S.Chise is just another CC student who can easily be replaced in most teams. However, this changes if you are aiming for top scores in HOD. S.Chise has found widespread usage in the most recent HOD rotation in JP. Note that S.Chise is a limited character, meaning she cannot be pulled off rate-up once her banner ends. If you can only spark for S.Izuna or S.Chise, we highly recommend picking S.Izuna.
Mimori (Swimsuit) Overview
Mimori (Swimsuit), a perpetual 3-star Mystic student, often serves as a defensive teammate and provides cover for the group. However, she is frequently utilized on teams due to her wide-area attack speed and attack boost, enhancing the team’s overall damage. Unlike Shizuko and Shimeko, S.Mimori requires less significant investments to counter ShiroKuro P1 balls. Over the past year, not much has altered for S.Mimori; she remains a robust choice for ShiroKuro teams seeking defensive cover and wide-area attack speed boosts. In JP’s recent ShiroKuro run, however, Mimori’s popularity has waned, as many top-scoring teams have opted to include Q.Tomoe instead.
Should you pull on this banner?
After understanding the benefits that Mimori (Swimsuit) brings to the team, should she be considered worthwhile to acquire? If Mimori (Swimsuit) happens to be your preferred student, let this guide not dissuade you from acquiring her as it’s ultimately your game and account.
Generally speaking, while Super Mimori is an improvement over Shizuko in the ShiroKuro series, Shizuko remains capable of performing tasks effectively in Torment. In fact, she can be obtained without cost. Moreover, many top-performing teams in Japan have opted to exclude Super Mimori and instead use Q.Tomoe as an alternative. Given that Anniversary banners are approaching soon, we strongly advise saving your Pyroxenes for these special events.
