In ‘Make a Wish,’ character Nene pretends to be unconscious and secretly listens as Hanako talks about her short life span. Hanako, wanting to keep Nene in the colorful realm, confines her to a cell. When Nene challenges him, he claims this world is essential for her existence. Touched by Nene’s tears, Hanako consoles her before departing.
In simpler terms, Shijima learns that Hanako detests deceitful universes yet won’t obliterate the current one to save Nene. However, Nene deceives Shijima and hesitates until Tsukasa steps in, transporting them to a different dimension, where Nene encounters a dying Shijima Mei.
In Episode 11 of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2, Nene discovers that Shijima Mei, like herself, had to confront the reality of her own impending death. Yet, unlike Nene, Mei refused to succumb to despair. Instead, she defied her fate and persisted in creating art with great determination.
In her unwavering pursuit of her passion, Mei encounters a reemergence of the mystical Shijima who will challenge her again. This encounter is expected to shed light on Shijima’s background and how she ultimately assists Nene in breaking free from their shared circumstances.
Titled ‘Focus on You,’ Episode 11 of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2 is scheduled for airing in Japan on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 4:30 pm Japanese Standard Time (JST). Due to time zone differences, international viewers can stream the English-subtitled version ahead of that day.
