🚨 SHIB Scammers Are on the Loose! 🚨
As the sun set over the vast expanse of the cryptocurrency landscape, a new threat emerged, like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, to devour the unsuspecting Shiba Inu investors. The scoundrels, masquerading as Binance, sent forth their minions to spread deceit and despair.
🔥 ⚠️ SCAM ALERT! ⚠️ 🔥
🐾 Ah, dear #ShibArmy, beware the wolves in sheep’s clothing! 🐾Those scoundrels are impersonating Binance with fake messages claiming:
“Your withdrawal code is: XXXX, if you did not request this please call support on: 0800 211 8037.”🚨 DO NOT CALL OR SHARE INFO!🚨

This dastardly plan employs the cunning tactic of “smishing,” where the scammers use impersonation to deceive the victims into believing the messages are genuine. The victim receives a suspicious SMS, masquerading as a legitimate message from Binance, and is convinced to call a number to “secure” their account.
Once the victim falls prey to their deceit, the scammers instruct them to transfer their funds to a “safe” wallet, managed by the scammers, of course. They send a seed phrase via email, SMS text, a fake website or even over the phone. The victim, blinded by their trust, initiates the transfer, only to find their wallet drained, leaving them with nothing but a bitter taste of despair.
Susbarium, the vigilant watchdog of the Shiba Inu community, sounded the alarm, warning the ShibArmy not to fall prey to these scammers. “Do not call any number or provide any personal information,” they cried. “Verify all communication through official Binance channels, lest you fall prey to these wolves in sheep’s clothing!”
Smishing alert issued by Binance
Binance, the stalwart guardian of cryptocurrency, issued a warning of its own, echoing Susbarium’s sentiments. In a blog post, they noted that phishing scams have evolved to include fraudulent SMS messages, a tactic now known as “smishing.” Ah, the ingenuity of these scoundrels!
To combat this scourge, Binance announced that it was extending its Anti-Phishing Code to SMS, providing an extra layer of security to help users verify the authenticity of messages. A personalized, easily recognizable code, to be displayed on the user’s device, would be the beacon of hope in this dark landscape.
But, alas, the scammers are cunning, and their tactics are ever-evolving. Binance urges users to stay proactive, enabling the latest security features, staying updated about emerging threats, and reporting suspicious messages to protect themselves and others.
And so, dear Shiba Inu investors, heed this warning: beware the unexpected messages urging immediate action or requesting personal information. For in the words of the wise Susbarium, “scammers rely on the urgency to push victims into making mistakes.” Pause, verify, and think before you act, lest you fall prey to these scoundrels!
And, as a final reminder, never click on any link in SMS messages. Instead, manually enter the official website’s URL in the browser, to ensure you are on the correct platform. For in this world of cryptocurrency, vigilance is the price of safety.
