‘She’s Married’: Jill Duggar Shares Heartfelt Wish For Sister Jana’s Wedding To Stephen Wissmann

As a devoted follower of the Duggar clan for many years, I must say that attending Jana Duggar’s wedding was like stepping back into the familiar world that I have grown to love over the past decade. Seeing Jill and Derick at the wedding brought back memories of their own special day, reminding me of how time flies and how quickly the Duggars grow up!


19 Kids and Counting ex-star Jill Duggar admitted to attending her sister Jana Duggar’s wedding, which was held on August 15, 2024. Around a week following the nuptials, Jill revealed some intimate glimpses from the occasion on Instagram.

On a Tuesday, she posted a video clip on Instagram, gathering various moments from their wedding. This collection featured a picture of her and her spouse, Derick Dillard, alongside the newlyweds, as well as multiple photos captured at the celebration.

“My sister, Janam Duggars, got married last week! Big congratulations to her and her husband Stephen Wissmann,” Jill posted.

34-year-old Jana Duggar, well-known from the show “19 Kids and Counting,” got married to Stephen Wissman in a modest wedding ceremony held in Prairie Groves, Arkansas on August 15, 2024. As the eldest child of the Duggar family, Jana was the one walking down the aisle this time.

In an interview with People magazine, Jana expressed, “I always imagined this would happen one day for every girl. For me, it seemed like it wouldn’t happen. But now, as I start to understand, reality is setting in. And I’m astonished to realize that this dream of mine is becoming a reality. It’s almost unbelievable – it feels like a dream come true.”

On June 15, a couple officially committed to each other took their classic wedding vows at The Grand at Willow Springs, surrounded by 500 attendees. Jessa Duggar Seewald, one of Jana’s siblings, acted as the maid of honor, while Abbie Duggar (her sister-in-law), Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, and Jordyn Duggar were part of the bridal party.

During the interview, Jana expressed the significance she placed on having all her family members attend her wedding.

In Jana’s words, “Being part of larger families, we cherish opportunities to gather and mark special occasions such as this one. Having everyone present truly holds great significance for us.”

Jana and Stephen first crossed paths through their families a while back, but it wasn’t until 2022 that they began dating, marking the occasion as they became in-laws when Jana’s brother Jeremiah Duggar tied the knot with Stephen’s sister Hannah Wissman.

Besides sharing the news of her upcoming wedding, Jana additionally disclosed her intentions to relocate to Nebraska post-wedding, intending to start her new life there with Stephen.

Jana, along with her family, gained public attention through their participation on the TLC reality series “19 Kids and Counting,” which highlighted the day-to-day lives of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar (Jana and Jill’s parents) and their 19 kids.
