‘Shazam’ Star Zachary Levi Encourages Colleagues to Vote for Donald Trump, Claims Hollywood Is Gone Soon

As a long-time fan of Zachary Levi, I must admit that his recent political stances have left me somewhat perplexed. While I admire his talent as an actor, particularly in his portrayal of Shazam, I find myself questioning whether his support for Donald Trump is truly sincere or a calculated career move.

Currently, Zachary Levi, renowned for his roles in the two Shazam movies within the DC Extended Universe, is grabbing attention, yet not due to his acting pursuits. Lately, he has publicly endorsed the candidacy of Donald Trump for president.

This has led to a lot of negative reactions from his fans and fans of his movies.

Zachary Levi, in a recent Instagram post, responded to Whoopi Goldberg’s assertion that the entertainment industry has historically leaned towards conservative views. This conversation ensued following Levi’s endorsement of Donald Trump for president on “The View.” He expressed his concern that expressing support for Trump might negatively impact his career due to the predominantly liberal nature of Hollywood.

Goldberg expressed dissent, labeling his statement as “nonsense.” She clarified that Hollywood houses a diverse array of beliefs, occasionally leaning more towards Democrats or Republicans, but very few openly identify as Republicans. Additionally, she pointed out examples such as Jon Voight and Dennis Quaid, who are Republicans, still enjoying successful acting careers.

Levi emphasized that among the multitude of actors in Hollywood, Goldberg’s ability to mention just two – Jon Voight and Dennis Quaid – underscores the reality of the situation.

In his continued remarks, Levi pointed out that numerous performers in the Hollywood industry express a desire to back Trump, yet fear the potential damage it may inflict on their professional paths.

In my profession, particularly in Hollywood, there’s a significant number of individuals who are hesitant to openly express support for Donald Trump or any conservative views, as they fear potential backlash and negative consequences.

I guess that’s why you rarely come across them. They tend to stay in the shadows, not being widely known or recognized. They understand the consequences of such actions, so they prefer to keep a low profile.

Friends, our sector is rapidly changing and facing significant challenges. The pandemic and strikes have already caused substantial damage, leaving us vulnerable. I urge everyone, regardless of political beliefs, to take action now. If speaking out publicly feels right for you, then do so. If not, that’s okay too; what matters is taking steps to protect our shared future.

I won’t force you into it, but understand this: If your fear stems from a sector that’s likely to disappear in the near future, then please don’t let that fear prevent you from moving forward.

As a passionate supporter of Donald Trump, I can’t help but feel my allegiance may have impacted my professional advancement. Yet, confidants reveal that beneath this setback lies a deep sense of disappointment. It seems I had dreams of stepping into the role of “the next Captain America,” a dream left unfulfilled.

The actor had high hopes that his part in Shazam would mark a significant career milestone, but it turned out differently. Although the initial Shazam! film was successful, Shazam 2 underperformed, and the DC Extended Universe began to disintegrate shortly thereafter.

Based on the information available, it appears that Levi has relocated from Los Angeles to Texas and is presently involved in faith-oriented ventures. This implies that his current endorsements and views might stem more from strategic career considerations rather than heartfelt backing.
