As a die-hard fan of the Hollywood scene, I find myself deeply intrigued by the recent revelations that some of my favorite celebrities are contemplating a move out of the United States due to political differences. It’s not every day that one witnesses such a mass exodus of stars from the land of the free and the home of the brave!
It was no secret that Donald Trump’s return to his office didn’t bring joy to many. Notable figures, who had previously opposed him and championed Kamala Harris in the presidential race, took to social media to voice their displeasure following his return.
Before and following the election, certain celebrities shared their thoughts about possibly relocating from the country, providing explanations for their decision.
Several notable personalities such as Sharon Stone, Cher, and America Ferrera have expressed thoughts about potentially moving away from the United States. As far back as July, Stone discussed with the Daily Mail her interest in purchasing a home in Italy. She stated, “I believe that’s a sensible approach at this point in time. This is the first instance in my life where I’ve seen anyone running for office on a platform of hate and oppression.
In a chat with The Guardian in 2023, Cher was queried about the prospect of Trump being re-elected as president. She expressed that she nearly developed an ulcer just thinking about it before. Cher further stated, “Should he win again, one can only imagine what might happen. This time, I may consider emigrating.
Alongside Barbie star America Ferrera, sources indicate she may be planning to relocate with her family to the UK due to a desire for a brighter future for her children and disappointment over recent political events. This information comes from a source who spoke to Daily Mail.
Minnie Driver is currently residing outside of the United States. In an interview with The Times in July, she mentioned her plans to relocate back to the UK. Discussing the possibility of Trump’s reentry into the White House at that time, she expressed difficulty in contemplating a return to the U.S. instead.
She stated, “In a conservative state, I wouldn’t be able (to return). However, residing in California provides some level of protection or isolation.
Among those on the list is Sophie Turner, a former star of Game of Thrones. As reported by The New York Post in an earlier article, if Trump were to win, the actress had expressed that she might return to her native land by leaving the United States.
A variety of well-known personalities, such as Ariana Grande, Christina Applegate, Billie Eilish, among others, have publicly voiced their displeasure about Trump assuming the presidency of our nation.
Numerous well-known personalities have expressed support for the incumbent president, such as Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, Amber Rose, Zachary Levi, Roseanne Barr, Hulk Hogan, Dr. Phil, and Mel Gibson, to name a few.
