To mark the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics, the two actresses famed for their roles in “Sex and the City: The Movie” have been spotted recently in the City of Lights (Paris).

A photo on both her Instagram and previous Twitter account (now Twitter) displayed them standing before the illuminated Eiffel Tower in Paris. Hudson labeled it, “Who did I bump into in Paris.” In the image, Parker and Hudson are wrapped up warmly; Hudson is wearing a light denim dress, while Hudson dons a cozy lavender coat.

Drawing inspiration from their film personas, the Academy Award-winning author penned, “At long last, Carrie and Louise meet again! Love truly is the key, as you well know! #SATC”

In the popular HBO series Sex and the City, which was inspired by Candace Bushnell’s New York Observer column, Sarah Jessica Parker portrayed Carrie Bradshaw, a sex columnist, for six seasons between 1998 and 2004. The film adaptation in 2008 reunited the original cast, including Parker, Kim Cattrall (as Samantha Jones), Kristin Davis (Charlotte York), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes), Chris Noth (Mr. Big), and introduced Annabella Sciorra as Carrie’s assistant Louise, who expresses her hope for love by saying, “I’m not giving up on love. Love is the most important thing, you understand?”

Iconic reunion amidst Olympic excitement

In “Sex and the City: The Movie,” Louise interviews for Carrie’s assistant position at the Astor Place Starbucks that seems to be shutting down as they reconnect. Since then, an HBO Max show called “And Just Like That” has started in 2021, carrying on several characters from the Sex and the City series. AnnaSophia Robb played a role in “The Carrie Diaries,” a prequel series on The CW.

In social media posts, Jennifer Hudson showcased photos of herself at the Eiffel Tower and performing at Chateau de Versailles while vacationing in Paris. She wrote on Twitter, “Hello, Paris!!! The fun starts here! #Paris2024 #Olympics.” Her latest movie was the science fiction thriller “Breathe.” Additionally, Hudson is an executive producer and actor, alongside Davis (age 59) and Nixon (age 58), in the series “And Just Like That.”

You can watch the Paris Olympics and Paralympics starting July 26 on NBC and Peacock.
