On the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, the multi-talented woman (actress and singer) discussed her close relationship with him and shared insights on how she’s managed to keep their friendship strong for the past 16 years.
Gomez went on to reveal that she stuck with Swift through the ups and downs of life.

During a recent podcast conversation, Selena Gomez revealed that she, Taylor Swift, and the Jonas Brothers were once romantically involved. More specifically, she dated Nick Jonas, while Taylor dated Joe Jonas. They were young at the time, and their relationships were adorable, as they’ve since become close friends. Looking back, Selena and Taylor often joke that the best thing they got from those relationships was each other, as they shared a sweet bond.
Furthermore, the artist known for “Love On” stated that she was only 15 years old at the time, while the singer who won a Grammy was 18, when they dated Nick and Joe Jonas, respectively. The actress from Monte Carlo continued by disclosing that she and Taylor Swift connected over heartbreaks, a common experience among girls, which ultimately brought them closer.
In 2008, Gomez and the musician initially met each other. During a podcast interview, the actress revealed that she had given approval for Taylor Swift’s popular song “Love Story” before it became publicly available.
Gomez shared, “The first song she played for me was ‘Love Story’, which hadn’t been released at that time yet. I can still recall the moment clearly; it was in a hotel room, and upon hearing it, I knew instantly it was one of the most beautiful songs I had ever come across.
It’s reported that Selena Gomez, the actress, plans to get married to Benny Blanco in September. According to the media, Taylor Swift and her partner, Travis Kelce, have been invited to the event.
