As an ardent fan, I must say that Sebastian Stan is one of those rare talents who has managed to carve out a niche for himself in Hollywood with his daring choices and outstanding performances. What intrigues me the most about him, however, is not just his versatility as an actor but also the unexpected roles he chooses that leave audiences spellbound.

Sebastian Stan’s career path has been nothing short of remarkable, largely due to his daring role choices captivating audiences. Yet, he finds it unexpected that his fans primarily associate him with his 2022 film “Fresh”.

Stan discussed this during a conversation with fellow actors Adrien Brody, Paul Mescal, Colman Domingo, Peter Sarsgaard, and Daniel Craig for The Hollywood Reporter’s Actor’s Roundtable.

In a conversation, the actors were inquired about unanticipated reactions towards their acting roles. Idris Elba, known for his role as the Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared that besides being recognized for this character, he is frequently identified for his work in Fresh – a movie he collaborated with Daisy Edgar-Jones on.

The actor said, “Strangely, oddly, I’m still offered roles like ‘Daisy’ from ‘Fresh’, a movie I find hard to comprehend.” He further explained, “Somehow these projects featuring women with cannibalistic themes continue to surface; it just doesn’t make sense to me.

2022’s film centers on Noa, a character dealing with the complexities of contemporary romance. During her journey, she crosses paths with Steve, whose unusual tastes leave audiences taken aback. This captivating movie features unexpected plot developments, intense moments, and explicit content.

In a lively gathering, others recounted their personal encounters. Remarkably, Brody shared how strangers frequently express their mothers’ fondness for him. Not to be outdone, Mescal chimed in, revealing that numerous individuals confess their girlfriends find him exceptional.

Domingo spoke about his association with Stan’s past experiences, revealing that people commonly recognize him due to his portrayal of the character Albert ‘Mister’ Johnson in The Color Purple. He mentioned that he frequently comes across older Black women at airports who exclaim, “Ooooh Mister,” but finds it peculiar as ‘Mister’ is not a kind individual – he is an abuser instead.

The entertainer added, ‘But wait, wasn’t he the bad guy?’ And in response, they said, ‘No worries! I still want to take a photo with him!’
