Sean Evans Reveals The ONE Reason Why Dwayne Johnson Turned Down Hot Ones Despite Multiple Invites; Find Out

As a dedicated fan and follower of Hot Ones, I must say it’s been quite the rollercoaster trying to get Dwayne Johnson on our show. It’s like trying to catch a greased-up gorilla in a windstorm!

It’s been some time since the Hot Ones crew has made an effort to secure Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for their show, despite the fact that he might be involved in numerous upcoming films. In a recent conversation about Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star, Sean Evans discussed the challenges they’ve faced in getting Johnson to appear on Hot Ones.

During a conversation with Bloomberg, Sean Evans mentioned an instance where he almost finalized a deal with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for his YouTube talk show. Yet, the unconventional reaction from the Black Adam star left the host puzzled.

As Sean Evans pondered over the years he’d been trying to get the actor on board, he recalled a response he’d received: “One time, I got a note saying, ‘Would you consider grilled salmon strips instead of wings?’ It struck me as if that request must have come directly from his mouth,” explained the host.

Additionally, Evans pointed out that they were near the point of finalizing an agreement with the actor from Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

“Hot Ones is an esteemed talk show where famous personalities get asked a range of questions as they munch on chicken wings coated in progressively spicier sauces.

So far, a variety of well-known celebrities have participated in the program. For instance, Elizabeth Olsen excelled at the spicy sauce challenge, while others like Paul Rudd, Lorde, Conan O’Brien, Machine Gun Kelly, among others, have also graced the stage.

In an upcoming blend of festive cheer and action, Dwayne Johnson stars in the movie titled “Red One.” Known for his role in Rampage, Johnson takes on the character Callum Drift, the Head of Security at the North Pole. The film also boasts a stellar ensemble cast: Chris Evans assumes the part of Jack O’Malley, a notorious global bounty hunter, while Lucy Liu kidnaps Evans in an attempt to locate the missing Santa Claus.

For everyone’s benefit, it is JK Simmons who takes on the role of Santa Claus in the movie titled Red One. This screenplay was written by Chris Morgan, inspired by a concept created by Hiram Garcia.

Red One will be released on November 15, 2024.
