Sean Diddy Charged With Two New Criminal Counts Alleging Trafficking Ahead of Trial: Everything We Know So Far

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing two additional charges just weeks before his upcoming trial! Details of a fresh indictment, unveiled on April 4th by federal prosecutors in New York, were recently acquired by People magazine.

The document states that the rapper is facing additional charges, specifically for an extra charge each of sex trafficking and facilitating prostitution.

Previously, the fallen music executive was charged with three crimes such as sex trafficking, racketeering, and facilitating prostitution. However, these charges have since increased to a total of five criminal offenses.

According to reports, the indictment primarily focuses on the claims against Diddy regarding his supposed “explicit sexual performances.” This term was used to describe elaborate and professionally staged sexual acts, as described by the prosecution. However, Diddy has publicly stated that he did not participate in these alleged performances.

The document claims that, as alleged, Diddy and his associates lured individuals under false promises of romance, only to subsequently employ intimidation tactics such as force, threats of force, or coercion to persuade these people into participating in the supposed events.

Since last September, the rapper has been held in New York’s Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. He denies several federal accusations that have been made against him. At present, he is waiting for his upcoming trial, scheduled to start on May 5th.

More recently, a sexual harassment case filed against Diddy was dropped due to the complainant’s refusal to disclose their identity even after being legally advised to do so. This is the second such lawsuit against the musician that has been dismissed by the court.

In the current situation, his legal team felt optimistic that additional lawsuits could be dismissed because of anonymity in the near future. While this was a minor victory for him, the latest events have added complexity to the ongoing case.
