Here’s the first instance of the “Fierce Enemy Assault Event”: Introducing a fresh SSR unit, Max Limit Breakable Red Gundam (0085), obtainable by finishing tasks within this event.
Missions
This Event comes with the following Missions:
Complete NORMAL 1/3/5/10 times
Complete HARD 5/10 times
Complete EXTREME 10/15 times
Successfully finishing each mission awards you a grand total of 3 Limit Break Materials for the Red Gundam, along with 70 Gold MS Experience CDs.
Or simply:
Each completed mission gives you 3 Limit Break Materials for the Red Gundam and 70 Gold MS EXP CDs.
Both sentences convey the same information but are expressed in different ways to make it more engaging and natural to read.
As a gamer, scoring my first copy of Red Gundam and securing Shuji Itō from the initial clear rewards in NORMAL mode means I can grab both, regardless of my current game progression.
Obtainable Rewards
The shortlist of obtainable rewards are the following:
Red Gundam (0085) + Limit Break Materials for MLB
Shuji Itō
Weapon Upgrade Materials (only usable on Fierce Enemy Assault event MS)
MS EXP CDs obtainable without Sweep
You might be able to acquire extra versions of Red Gundam through a random reward system in the normal mode. Therefore, even if you’re finding it challenging to conquer higher difficulties, you could still attempt to level up (MLB) it by repeatedly playing on normal difficulty.
Red Gundam (0085)
In simpler terms, the Red Gundam from 0085 has a supportive role, and its standout feature is a weapon that reduces defense for opponents within a 3-5 range.
Shuji Itō
Shuji Ito is a versatile SSR (Super Super Rare) mobile suit pilot who carries a bonus of +2 Support Action. This additional action can be applied to almost any Gundam-style mobile suit, as well as units from the GQuuuuuuX series, and he possesses Boost Range. He is an exceptionally powerful choice for mixed teams or situations that demand specific units from the Universal Century Series or Mobile Suit Gundam, as GQuuuuuuX also qualifies under Mobile Suit Gundam in these instances.
EXTREME Stage and Strategy
On the map, there’s a multitude of Zaku Grunt units. After a specified number of them have been vanquished, another group will appear.
GQuuuuuuX is a highly-enhanced variant of the regular version, boasting a guaranteed three-action step at each turn, labeled as Guaranteed Chance Step 2.
The enhanced Red Gundam variant, accessible to players, boasts superior stats. It uniquely provides three Support Actions every turn. Furthermore, it increases the morale of the entire enemy team by 6 points each turn, and its support attacks come with a 40% boost in attack power.
In general, attacks from a Red Gundam that utilize the Support ability could potentially eliminate many of your units, regardless of your level being 100. It’s essential to note that this is only true when the Red Gundam is performing a Support Attack. During regular attacks, the Red Gundam doesn’t receive a 40% ATK bonus, so if you are at a high level, you should be able to withstand its assault more easily.
In order to empty the stage, the key condition is to vanquish Red Gundam directly. Therefore, if you control both Sazabi and Exia, you can bypass GQuuuuuuX during your turn and straightaway attempt to eliminate Red Gundam immediately.
For players without long-range abilities and support actions, the enemy character GQuuuuuuX is tough but has limited range at just 2 units. To effectively combat it, prepare support actions for the first turn, allowing you to deal damage before GQuuuuuuX takes its turn. Grunt characters can be quickly eliminated in a single attack and serve as triggers to move closer to GQuuuuuuX on your initial turn. They aren’t particularly dangerous but can activate Red Gundam’s support actions, so you can usually avoid them and counterattack when they retaliate during their turn.
Farming/Sweeping EXTREME
As a gamer, I’ve found that the EXTREME stage is currently the most efficient for grinding Mastery (MS) Experience Points. At the moment, skipping non-sweeps on HARD and NORMAL modes doesn’t yield any CD EXP, whereas HARD mode grants 1500 EXP to each Master Ship, Pilot, and Support Ship deployed.
Performing a vigorous sweep thrice, which costs a total of 30 Action Points (AP), yields 9 Gold Mastery Skill Experience Cooldowns, 9 Gold Pilot Experience Laptops, and 1 Gold, 4 Silver Ship Experience Chips in return. Importantly, this action does not award any passive Experience points; instead, the value of those passive EXP points has been converted into consumable form for your benefit.
3 consecutive ‘Extreme’ battles offer the same consumable rewards as completing 3 ‘Hard’ battles, however they cost twice as much Action Points (AP), amounting to 60 AP. Despite this, you still earn passive Experience points equivalent to 3 runs, with each run requiring 20 AP. To offset this, each clear awards an extra 10 Gold MS EXP Cooldown (CD) items. This results in less Ship and Pilot EXP consumables per Action Point spent, but significantly more MS EXP consumables, which is crucial for early progression.
Once you’ve completed your daily sweeps, the crucial aspect is to focus on other means of earning MS EXP CDs. At present, the only ways to obtain these CDs are through the rewards from daily upgrade material quests and your daily Story sweeps. It’s essential to note that running the Story mode automatically or manually does not provide any EXP consumables as all passive EXP is allocated to the MS, Pilots, and Ships deployed.
However, with the introduction of the EXTREME stage, even if you clear it on AUTO or manual mode, you will receive CD consumables for EXP. This allows you to convert any excess AP into MS EXP, thus eliminating the cap based on the sweep limits.
By repeatedly performing this action primarily to accumulate EXP, you might end up with more than enough Weapon Upgrade materials in the long run. However, keep in mind that these resources aren’t exclusive to the Red Gundam; they can be applied to any future MS rewarded for Fierce Assault events as well. Therefore, any surplus of yours can still contribute significantly during the next Fierce Assault event.
