SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL Best SSR Mobile Suits (Gacha and Development)

Criteria for SSRs and Evaluating Future SSRs Yourself

Here’s what you need to keep in mind when evaluating if an MS (Mobius Summon) is a good investment, considering the current state around a month into release. The following analysis is based on Limit-Break MAX (Level 3) and MS Level 90 (without SP Conversion). However, do note that SP Conversion will enhance your overall stats. At this point, I wouldn’t advise using an SSR Attacker without LB3 as you’d be sacrificing a significant amount of damage for one-shots.

Attackers – Stats

Development SSRs will be around 9200-9800 ATK
Gacha SSRs will be around 10100-10800 ATK

In essence, the attack values among many Attackers are similar, so the disparity is compensated through their passive abilities. It’s beneficial to choose Attackers who have 2 to 3 passives that increase their attack power.

Suitable options include:

– Constantly Increased Attack Power (Unconditional)
– Enhanced Attack Power when Health Percentage exceeds 75%/50%
– Boosted Attack Power when Vigor is High (Typically also raises Defense)

The bad ones are:
-ATK UP when HP is below 50%/25%

EN Recovery passives may be useful but usually aren’t paired with two ATK passives.

Other non ATK UP passives might as well be empty line.

On a Super Rare SSR character with strong passive abilities, the maximum Attack percentage boost you can achieve through passives is approximately 30%. Specifically for S Gundam, this boost consists of a 10% unconditional bonus and an additional 20% when its Health Points (HP) surpass 75%.

Attackers – Weapons

In terms of Weapons, you are primarily looking for the following:

– A POW level of 5 or higher is suitable, with 5000 being the bare minimum.
– The standard/normal range for weapons is -3, while a -4 range is considered good.
– Weapons with a -5 range can still be considered good, but they require a lower POW. A +5 range, however, comes at a premium as it allows for safer positioning when using a Support Pilot for Support Attack. Moreover, combining a pilot with Boost Range LV1 can extend the range to 6, ensuring no retaliation during an attack.

You want weapons with good passives.

The good ones are:
-Weapon POW UP at High HP
-Weapon POW UP at Long Range

Enhancing your close-range weapon can be beneficial, especially when it comes to melee combat, if you anticipate receiving counterattacks or are solely focused on executing opponents.

Weapon POW UP at Low HP is bad. Weapon CRIT DMG UP is also bad.

The critical hit rate (CRIT) for weapons is either 5%, 10%, or 20%. It’s best to avoid weapons whose CRIT is 20% or lower, and pilots who spend 5 Skill Points (SP) to increase their CRIT by 40%. This passive effect only triggers if you win a 60% chance battle. A more consistent option would be a passive that works all the time instead.

Bazookas often present problems due to an odd design flaw where about 90% of them have a base accuracy of less than perfect (100%). While they remain functional, be aware that there’s a chance they might malfunction and miss their target.

BD-1 boasts a top-tier weapon that packs a punch with 6000 POW, backed by beneficial passive abilities, including a strong 25% ATK bonus. However, it’s important to note that BD-1 is not suitable for use in space environments. As of now, no other SSR (Super Rare Rarity) character possesses a more impressive blend of passive skills, weapon passives, and high POW weapons.

Notable Attackers

In this scenario, all significant adversaries, with the exception of Barbatos 6th Form and FAZZ (who possess the indestructible attribute known as Tough as Nails), are tagged as One-Shot Killers. This means it will be straightforward for your FREE Squad to deploy a vessel equipped with the One-Shot Killer ability.

Previously stated, S Gundam (Gacha) stands out as an exceptional general SSR Attacker, even with suboptimal weapon passives. This is largely due to its maximum possible ATK passives, 5400 POW 4 Range ATK, and the ability to wield a lower POW 5 Range weapon. In simpler terms, despite having less-than-ideal passive abilities on its weapon, S Gundam (Gacha) boasts impressive attack stats and can still make use of a powerful long-range weapon.

Character BD-1 (acquired through Gacha) stands out as the top SSR Attacker due to its 25% ATK boost and strong passives. It also wields a powerful weapon with a 6000 POW, increasing further to 10% at high HP levels. However, its inability to be deployed in space is a significant drawback.

Among many usable SSR attackers, those that aren’t exceptionally remarkable are compared to SR Freedom Gundam, boasting a 4 Range and a 6000 POW weapon in its development tree SR. If an attacker is equal or superior to SR Freedom, it isn’t considered noteworthy. Notable attackers, however, should have at least a 10% unconditional ATK UP passive ability, as this feature is commonly found in most SSR Attackers.

Aerial Rebuild (Development)

With a 5-range, 5400 attack power and Level 4 boost in long-range weapon strength (12%), Aerial Rebuild stands as the most potent five-range weapon for an SSR Attacker. It’s an excellent choice when partnered with a Support Pilot to execute non-debuff support attacks effectively.

Barbatos 6th Form (Development)

In terms of downsides associated with its Development SSR base stats, the Barbatos 6th Form boasts a whopping 6000 POW and equips a two-range weapon, with Level 4 Increased Close Range (12%). This is the maximum power weapon you can acquire on an SSR, sharing

Gundam Epyon (Development)

Epyon has a 5400 POW, 3 Range weapon with Increase Close Range Lv5 (15%).

Gundam Deathscythe Hell (Development)

Deathscythe has a 5400 POW, 2 Range weapon with Increase Close Range Lv5 (15%).

FAZZ (Development)

FAZZ boasts a power output of 5400, sports a range weapon, and gets an extra 5% attack boost from its passive ability when Vigor is rated as Super High or above.

Red Warrior (Gacha)

Red Warrior wields a Bazooka devoid of inherent inaccuracy penalties, boasting a power output of 5040 and a range of 4, yet its true strength lies within. Equipped with a Level 5 High HP Weapon Power Boost (enhancing weapon power by 15%), this warrior further gains an extra 10% attack boost when its health surpasses the 50% mark. Notably, its base attack is exceptionally high for Gacha SSRs, standing at a robust 10700.

Defenders – Stats

Defenders vary based on whether they are DEF heavy or HP heavy.

If a Development Super Rare (SSR) has 9,000 Defense or more, its Health Points (HP) will typically fall under the 90,000 range. Usually, an SSR in the 90-100k HP range has 8,500 Defense or less. As for Gacha SSRs, they usually have either 100,000 HP and 9,000 Defense, or 110,000 HP with 8,000 to 8,500 Defense.

Defenders – Criteria

Evaluations for defenders primarily focus on their ability to offer Support Defense and sustain life. In essence, what matters most for a defender is a blend of two key aspects: Shield Defend and a Damage Resist Passive with at least 30% resistance. Any defender that lacks either of these qualities may not be effective.

The Shield Defend mechanism lessens the harm sustained during defensive or support defense actions by 20%. Defenders lacking this feature may not perform optimally.

A Damage Resist Passive exceeding 20% generally functions specifically for Beam or Physical damage, while there’s another 40% passive that affects one out of the four primary types of damage.

The main 4 damage types are:
-Ranged Beam
-Ranged Phys
-Melee Beam
-Melee Phys

As a gamer, I’ve noticed there are Special-type damage attacks, yet I haven’t come across any passive abilities that particularly lessen the impact of these types of attacks on me.

In simpler terms, only a small percentage (10%) of the passive abilities work specifically for Beam/Phys, but a total combined reduction of 30% is insufficient. The remaining passive abilities (up to 10% MAX HP and 5-15% DEF) don’t add enough durability to withstand high damage types when compared to a raw defense reduction of more than 50%.

In this scenario, you should choose Defenders that are suitable for the kind of damage you anticipate receiving from the stage. For instance, in Alternative Series EXPERT Eternal Road, most enemies’ ranged weapons, excluding Large GN Fang on Alvatore, are beam-type. This makes Forbidden an excellent and cost-effective choice as a Defender, since it can both support defense upon being hit and sustain itself even at LB3 LV80 against both Dark Gundam and Patulia. Since the AI usually opts for ranged attacks over melee due to their higher power values, it rarely or never uses melee attacks unless there’s no other option.

The Super Hyperion Gundam, specifically in its Ultimate Development phase, distinguishes itself by not only having a shield but also boasting a 30% damage reduction (DR) for all types of ranged attacks, instead of just one primary damage type. However, to activate this enhanced defense feature, you’ll need the UR upgrade within the Ultimate Development Tree (first upgrade). Without it, its SSR form only offers a 20% DR against ranged damage. This added versatility sets it apart from other notable defenders in its category.

It’s beneficial to have more Maximum Health Points (HP) when you already have a Damage Resistance Passive, but it’s not essential. Other passive abilities aren’t particularly significant at this time.

A benefit is granted when a weapon has Attack Down (either MAP-wide or within a 5 range) and a higher Movement (MOV) stat improves the Support Defense Range, which can be beneficial for positioning your units strategically to avoid clustering and potentially prevent enemy attacks on the Map.

The baseline we are using in this case is the previously mentioned Forbidden Gundam.

The Forbidden Gundam, an SR Development MS, boasts Shield Defend and Agile Armor features. The former reduces damage received by 30% when you perform a Support Defend, especially if the enemy is launching Beam Ranged Attacks. This adds up to a substantial 50% Damage Reduction when defending against such ranged beam attacks. In both Alternative Series EXTREME Eternal Road and SEED EXTREME Eternal Road, Forbidden Gundam serves as the preferred budget Defender.

Notable Defenders

Apart from Hyperion, previously discussed, it’s important to note that this particular Ultimate Development lacks the ability to Limit Break without using Generic Ultimate Rare (UR) Limit Break Materials.

Psycho Gundam (Development)

60% Damage Resistance (DR) is provided by the Shield Defense (20%) and I-Field Level 2 (40% DR against Ranged Beam Assaults). This equates to a total of 60% DR when defending or supporting defense against such attacks. Psycho has a relatively small health pool at 84,000 HP but boasts a high Defense stat of 9,200. Additionally, it is equipped with a weapon that reduces Map Attack Power (MAP ATK Down).

Quin Mantha (Development)

This unit boasts a Shield Defense that provides a 20% protection and an I-Field Level 2 offering a 40% reduction in damage from Ranged Beam Attacks, totalling to 60% Damage Reduction when Defending or Support Defending against such attacks. Additionally, it carries a weapon that lowers the Map’s Attack. Essentially, it is a health-focused variant of Psycho Gundam, boasting 95,000 HP and 8,000 Defense points.

Providence Gundam (Development)

As a gamer, I’m equipped with a Shield Defense that offers a 20% defense boost and a Phase Shift Armor Lv2 providing a 20% damage reduction against all physical attacks. This combo kicks in when I’m defending or supporting others, offering a total of 40% damage resistance against any physical onslaught. My Development unit boasts an impressive 105k HP, thanks to its MAX HP passive (which increases my maximum HP by 10%). However, my defense is relatively low at 7300. I’m also packing three Range ATK Down weapons for strategic advantage in battle.

Zeta Gundam III B Type (Gacha)

This entity, named Shield Defense, boasts a 20% defensive shield and a Level 2 Beam Damage Reduction that reduces all beam damage by 20%. It also possesses a passive ability that increases its maximum health by 10%, and when at Super High or higher Vigor, it gains an additional 7% defense. This setup provides it with a total of 40% resistance to all beam damage while defending or supporting defense. There’s no ATK Down in this case. It boasts a hefty health pool of 111k and a defensive strength of 8500 (approximately 9k when Vigor passive is activated). Essentially, it functions like Providence but specifically for beam damage.

Supports

Support requirements are simple: Find five weapons that have Level 5 Debuffs, with DEF DOWN being the most potent if you had to choose one debuff type. Unfortunately, there aren’t any Level 5 Range Physical or Special Damage Debuffs for SSRs available. However, to apply a 5 Range Physical Damage Taken Debuff, you will require the UR Phoenix Gundam.

Notable Supports

This is mostly just a list of Supports with 5 Range 30% (TYPE) Damage Taken or DEF Down debuffs.

5 Range 30% Single Target Defense Down

Freedom METEOR (Development)

4200 Power Beam Weapon: This is a compact, 2×2-sized device that might pose challenges when it comes to placement. It also includes a 3120 POW Map Defense Decrease of 20%.

The 4200 Power Beam Weapon is a small (2×2 size) item that could be tricky to position, and it reduces the defense map power by 20% when activated.

Qubeley (Zeta) (Development)

4320 POW SPECIAL Weapon.

Wing Gundam Zero (Development)

4,800 Power Beam Weapon: It can adapt and features a 4,200 Power Map weapon without any negative effects. This weapon ranks among the top along with Zeta for its high power output, providing a 30% defense reduction over a wide range, with no debuffs applied.

Zeta Gundam (Development)

As an enthusiast, I’d rephrase that as follows:

“I’m thrilled about the 4800 POW Beam Weapon! It has the ability to transform, but it does lose some range in the process. Interestingly, it ties with Wing Zero for the highest POW, but also comes with a 30% defense downside over a 5-range area.”

By using “I’m thrilled about” and expressing my enthusiasm, I hope to convey the excitement that fans might have when discussing such topics in a more engaging manner.

Red Gundam (EVENT)

From our first Fierce Assault event. 4680 POW SPECIAL weapon.

GM Sniper II (Gacha)

4080-powered Physics Weapon specializes in striking a singular target with a 2520-power Map Attack. It uniquely lowers the Physical Defense by 5, but it has the least power among range weapons.

Zeta Gundam III (Gacha)

4200 POW Beam Weapon: Transforms and boasts a 5-range Beam Damage Debuff weapon in Waverider form, but with level 3 debuff, resulting in a 20% increase in beam damage taken. This means it carries two 5-range Debuff weapons, making it a potent flexible Supporter, as it can inflict both debuffs.

Red Snake (Ultimate Development)

Initially, this character possesses Level 6 Defense Down (with a 35% chance) and boasts a range of 5, however, it needs Ultimate Development to elevate its rarity to UR (only the first upgrade). In contrast, its SSR form offers Defense Down but with a reduced range of 4.

5 Range Single Target Beam Damage Taken Up 30%

Bertigo (Development)

4560 POW SPECIAL weapon.

Perfect Strike Gundam (Development)

4560 POW BEAM weapon.
