The show blended humor with heartfelt stories, centering on the lives of hospital staff and their patients. It originally aired on NBC for seven seasons before being canceled in 2008. ABC then revived the series for two more seasons, in 2009 and 2010. The ninth and final season was initially intended as a spin-off called ‘Scrubs: Medical School,’ and featured returning cast members Donald Faison and John C. McGinley.

This updated version of the show will feature some new cast members, like Vanessa Bayer, Joel Kim Booster, Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi, and Amanda Morrow. Robert Maschio and Phill Lewis, who were in the original production, will be returning as well.

Tim Hobert and Aseem Batra, both of whom were involved with the original series, are leading the new season. Joining them as executive producers are Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, the show’s creator Bill Lawrence, and producers Randall Winston, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer. The series is being made by 20th Television.

The new series will debut on ABC on February 25th at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time. You’ll also be able to watch episodes on Hulu.
