A short, Christmas-themed teaser for the next Scream movie, Scream 7, has been released online, giving fans their first look. The teaser was shared on social media with a creepy message: “I like what you did with the house, Sidney.”

The latest installment, Scream 7, continues the popular horror series with a new Ghostface terrorizing the daughter of Sidney Prescott.
The cast of the new film includes returning favorites Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Mason Gooding, along with new faces like Isabel May, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, and Mark Consuelos. Kevin Williamson directed the movie and co-wrote the script with Guy Busick, building on a story idea from Williamson and James Vanderbilt.
The movie went through a lot of changes before it was finished. Initially, Christopher Landon was going to direct after Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett left the project in 2023. However, disagreements about the creative direction and the departures of actresses Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega required even more adjustments. Neve Campbell confirmed she would return in March 2024, and Kevin Williamson took over as director. Filming began in early 2025 and finished by March.
As a big fan of the Scream movies, I’m excited to hear they’re bringing back some of our favorite characters alongside a new cast. It sounds like they’re really trying to give us that nostalgic feeling while still delivering the scares we expect. Scream 7 is currently set to premiere in US theaters on February 27, 2026, and I already have it marked on my calendar – it’s coming to us from Paramount Pictures.
