The original film left me on the edge of my seat, and the return of the malevolent Grabber played by the exceptional Ethan Hawke has me hooked.
Filming for ‘The Black Phone 2’ has begun, as indicated by director Scott Derrickson posting a sneak peek from set, suggesting the ominous reappearance of Ethan Hawke’s character, known as the Grabber.
The photo shows a chair marked with the film’s title, signaling the beginning of shooting. Derrickson announced the news by stating, “Shooting started today.”

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t wait to jump back into the action with the upcoming sequel! It looks like old friends are making a return, such as Ethan Hawke, stepping once more into the sinister Grabber role, and Mason Thames, who will be back as Finney.
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that the original trio – Madeleine McGraw, Miguel Mora, and Jeremy Davies – are back in action! But that’s not all! The talented Demián Bichir has joined our team too, adding chills to our already exciting lineup.
Once more, Derrickson collaborates with C. Robert Cargill, breathing life into this screenplay, further unfolding the tale that was initially sparked by Joe Hill’s short story.
In ‘The Black Phone’, we witnessed Finney managing to subdue and apparently kill off the antagonist, the Grabber, by using a telephone cord to restrain him.
