Scott Caan and Elizabeth Debicki Join Brad Pitt in David Fincher’s Next Untitled Project

Actors Scott Caan and Elizabeth Debicki have signed on to work alongside Brad Pitt in an upcoming Netflix production, details of which are mostly kept secret. The plot revolves around Cliff Booth, the stuntman character played by Pitt in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This fresh narrative takes place during a later timeframe than the original movie.

It’s been mentioned that although specifics are kept under wraps, insiders claim the movie is based on a screenplay penned by Tarantino himself but passed on for direction. Pitt allegedly persuaded him to hand over the reins to director David Fincher, who was given the go-ahead for this project earlier in the year.

As a dedicated admirer, I can’t help but notice some similarities between the plot of the upcoming film and the 2021 novel by Tarantino, particularly with regards to Cliff Booth’s background, which delves into the contentious demise of his wife. Yet, it remains uncertain how closely the movie will mirror the book’s details.

It’s still undecided if Debicki and Caan will be part of the cast. The script indicates there are two significant female characters: one who manages a bar and mud wrestling arena, and another portrayed as a trophy wife. However, it remains unclear if Debicki will embody either of these roles. For Caan, this project reunites him with Pitt, having collaborated in the Ocean’s Eleven movie series.

The start of production for the project is slated for California in July. As of now, Netflix hasn’t made any public announcements about the new actors joining the cast.

Scott Caan, the son of the late actor James Caan, is recognized for his roles on TV shows such as Hawaii Five-0 on CBS and Alert: Missing Persons Unit on Fox. In movies, he has appeared in films like Varsity Blues and Gone in 60 Seconds.

Elizabeth Debicki garnered broad acclaim with her role as Princess Diana in Netflix’s The Crown, and she can also be seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Tenet, and an upcoming project called Maxxxine.

Both actors are under the representation of Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Additionally, Caan is managed separately by Linden Entertainment and Sloane Offer.
