According to a recent report, the actress will be appearing in The Batman – Part II. Her character is expected to have a strong connection to a major DC Comics villain. The film, a continuation of the 2022 movie, is now officially in production after a lengthy development process.
Sources at The InSneider report that Scarlett Johansson is being considered for the role of Gilda Gold. In DC Comics, Gilda is married to Harvey Dent, who eventually transforms into the villain Two-Face. This casting news implies that Two-Face, or at least Harvey Dent, will appear in Matt Reeves’ The Batman film series.
I’m so excited about the new Batman film! The report says they’re looking for actors to play both Harvey Dent and his dad, Christopher Dent. There was talk a while back that Matt Reeves wanted Brad Pitt to play Christopher, but it looks like that’s not happening now. Still, I can’t wait to see who they cast!

The Hollywood Reporter shut down the Pitt rumors in a recent update, saying:
There’s been a lot of talk about Brad Pitt potentially appearing in The Batman Part II, but unfortunately, sources connected to the film have confirmed he won’t be in it.
According to the report, filming for the next installment is planned to start in May. Director and co-writer Matt Reeves will return, again collaborating with Mattson Tomlin. Robert Pattinson is likely to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, with Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell also expected to return.
The next Batman movie, currently titled The Batman – Part II, is planned for release on October 1, 2027. The film will likely center around a new, significant case for Batman and will further explore the widespread corruption in Gotham City, building on the flooding events from the first movie and the Penguin series. Production is expected to take place in England and Scotland.
Reports suggest Johansson began discussions about the project in December, but DC Studios hasn’t made any official announcement about her joining the cast.
