Scarlett Johansson Confirms She Won’t Return as Natasha Romanoff in Avengers: Doomsday, Says ‘Her Story is Complete’

The passing of Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) in Avengers: Endgame brought tears to many viewers’ eyes, and it appears that her return may not happen for a while. Actress Scarlett Johansson has also stated that she will not reprise her role as Black Widow in Avengers: Doomsday or any upcoming Marvel films. Despite her affection for the cast and wishing to collaborate with them again, she won’t be part of future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.

As a lifestyle expert, I can share that although Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth will reappear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in different capacities for the upcoming film, “Avengers: Doomsday,” Scarlett Johansson has announced her time on Marvel sets has come to an end.

She shared with Vanity Fair that it’s unclear to her how a return could fit for my character, as I play. “I deeply miss my co-stars and wish we could be together always, but the charm of the character lies in the completion of her story. I don’t want to disturb that. And for the fans, it’s crucial.

Did you realize that Emily Blunt was initially chosen for the role of Natasha Romanoff instead of Johansson? However, due to scheduling conflicts, she turned down the opportunity to play the character.

In simpler terms, the actress will appear next in the upcoming American sci-fi action movie “Jurassic World Rebirth,” directed by Gareth Edwards and penned by David Koepp. This is the fourth film of the Jurassic World series and the seventh installment within the Jurassic Park franchise. Besides her, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey are also part of the cast. The movie will premiere in U.S. theaters on July 2.

During the Vanity Fair interview, Johansson discussed her role as Zora, a covert-ops expert, in Jurassic World Rebirth. She shared that working on the project frequently required her to rely on her gut feelings. She has already previewed several scenes from the movie and recently traveled to Las Vegas for an exciting display of film clips at CinemaCon.
