In a chat with actor David Harbour, known for roles in Stranger Things and Thunderbolts, published in Interview magazine on June 10th, Johansson explained her tendency to date within Hollywood. She mentioned that past significant relationships outside the industry often left her partners struggling to grasp the unique demands of her profession.
In my personal experience, I’ve been in deep connections with individuals outside my profession, and one of the hurdles I encountered was that they were clueless about the tasks I had to carry out for my work. To illustrate, if I were dating a doctor specializing in oncology, I wouldn’t expect them to understand the intricacies of my job. However, in my line of work, it’s not as abstract or easily explained as a medical profession might be.
Johansson, who’s married to Colin Jost, a star on Saturday Night Live, pointed out that dating someone in the same profession fosters a deeper comprehension.
