My dear darlings, gather ’round, for the XRP Ledger has become a veritable hotbed of skulduggery and deceit! The inimitable Wietse Wind, founder of Xaman and all-around crypto savant, has raised the alarm on a most dastardly scam targeting the unsuspecting wallet holders of our beloved XRP community.
Imagine, if you will, a scenario where a scoundrel of the lowest order sends along a fake NFT, masquerading as a legitimate offer. The nerve! According to the latest tittle-tattle, these ne’er-do-wells are prying into wallets, copying and minting NFTs with the audacity of a cat burglar at a jewel heist. How utterly gauche!
WARNING!! 🚨
We are NOT sending “passes” or NFT’s!
These are sent by SCAMMERS!!
Do not engage, do not accept, CANCEL their offer.
Please RT far and wide.

And if that weren’t enough, some bounder has gone so far as to create a fake Xaman domain, offering “passes” to a closed beta. How utterly preposterous! Wind, ever the vigilant guardian, has flagged these fake NFTs with the aplomb of a seasoned detective, reminding the community that Xaman is not in the business of sending “passes” or “NFTs.” Those, my dears, are the handiwork of scammers.

Wind, with his customary wit and wisdom, urges XRP holders to cancel such offers posthaste and to never, under any circumstances, engage or accept. As these fake NFT offers proliferate like weeds in a neglected garden, users must exercise the utmost caution. Verify those wallet addresses, darlings, lest you fall prey to these digital brigands!
This follows a litany of warnings to XRP wallet holders. Fake support accounts, those imposters of the digital realm, are flagged as one of the more common scam vectors. Genuine support, my dears, will never ask for seed phrases or for you to sign a transaction. They certainly won’t contact you via X, Discord, or unsolicited DMs. How utterly uncouth!
Wind, ever the gentleman, offers a few tips to keep you safe: never engage with anything you don’t trust, never accept offers you didn’t ask for or don’t understand, use only in-app support, never share your secrets, and never sign anything that feels too good to be true. Sage advice, indeed!
What’s coming in March?
According to the official XRPL blog, the XRP Ledger devnet is scheduled for a reset on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. A spring cleaning, if you will, deleting all ledger data in the devnet-accounts, transactions, balances, settings, offers, AMMs, escrows, and more. Out with the old, in with the new!
And let’s not forget the highly anticipated March 1 deadline to settle reward provisions for the Clarity Act. Analysts expect this potential development to be the main driver of markets heading into March. Will it be a bull’s parade or a bear’s picnic? Only time will tell, my dears.
