Saturday Night Live: Andy Samberg And Mikey Day Join Michael Keaton In His Hilarious Gig Dressed As Beetlejuice; Details Inside

As an ardent fan, I must say that Michael Keaton’s recent appearance on Saturday Night Live was nothing short of a delightful throwback to the 80s! His wit, charm, and impeccable comedic timing were on full display, making it a night to remember.

Michael Keaton made a comeback on Saturday Night Live following the triumph of the sequel, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”. In the most recent SNL episode, the actor demonstrated his comedic prowess alongside Andy Samberg and Mikey Day, who donned costumes representing characters from Keaton’s latest film.

Once he took the stage, Keaton couldn’t hide his enthusiasm for being back on the show again, having last hosted the comedic sketch series in 1984.

Speaking candidly about his career journey leading up to joining SNL, Keaton shared during his monologue that he had previously worked as a Production Assistant on ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood’. He also pointed out an unexpected connection between the two shows from the 70s, saying, “Believe it or not, ‘SNL’ and ‘Mister Rogers’ have quite a few similarities. Lots of puppets, and, well, a fair amount of drugs back then.

During his performance, the actor reminisced about the iconic role of Beetlejuice from his career. He playfully commented that with Halloween approaching, many young admirers might dress up as his character, making them cute. However, he also mentioned that there are men in their 40s who would imitate him on this occasion, but they wouldn’t be amusing at all.

At that instant, Mikey Day appeared wearing his Beetlejuice outfit and green hair. He requested the actor, “Since ‘Beetlejuice’ is my all-time favorite, could you do me a favor and say, ‘It’s showtime?'” However, Keaton replied, “To tell you the truth, I can’t recall exactly how I said it.

Later on, Samberg became part of the pair, both dressed as Beetlejuice. As the discussion unfolded, he chimed in with a casual “I do.” He elaborated by saying, “Mike, let me explain, I used to be employed here. In my illustrious career, I made numerous attempts – some successful, others not – to incorporate Beetlejuice into the program.

During the performance, Keaton spotted Sarah Sherman seated among the spectators. Addressing her, he joked, “There’s Sherman lurking in the wings… we don’t have time for another Beetlejuice.” But Sherman, wearing a striped gown, playfully responded, “Oh no, thank you so much. This is just my usual attire.

Looking at the actor next to him, the actor portraying The Flash commented that they seemed to be using many lines from the initial movie and inquired whether Samberg and Day had watched the sequel. However, the pair admitted, “We haven’t seen it yet, but it’s on our watchlist.

The actors then wrapped up their gig and welcomed Billie Eilish as the night’s musical guest.
