When asked about tying the knot, Taylor shared a glimpse of their hearts, saying, “I don’t think we’ll ever get married,” she confided in listeners, her voice filled with a certainty that left no room for doubt. “No,” she emphasized, “We’ve never discussed it with any real interest.”

Taylor shared that for her and Paulson, legal marriage doesn’t hold the same significance as it does for most couples. However, she added that if they ever decide to tie the knot, it would be an option they might consider, but currently, it’s not something they feel compelled to do.

As an ardent admirer, I wholeheartedly concur with Cohen’s appreciation of their enchanting love tale. Indeed, it’s true that we share a remarkable harmony. Yet, I can’t help but acknowledge the distinct facets that set us apart as individuals.

Apart from mentioning the significant age disparity of 31 years between herself and Taylor, Johnson also expressed concerns about its possible influence on Paulson. At times, she feels apprehensive due to the “substantial generational gap,” fearing its potential effects. However, she acknowledges that such a difference can have its advantages too. For instance, she noted that while Taylor is experiencing things emotionally crucial now, Johnson has lived through similar experiences decades ago, which can offer her understanding and support.

In one of their episodes, the Smartless podcast showcases Paulson discussing candidly the factors contributing to their long-standing partnership. One key aspect is their decision to live separately at times. As Paulson puts it, they manage to stay together for so long due to their choice to spend quality time with each other only when it’s essential. In simpler words, “We’ve been a couple for quite some time now, and I believe our longevity comes from the fact that we’re together when we want to be and apart when we don’t.”

Although living separately, Paulson shared that they occasionally have intimate moments, such as falling asleep while holding hands. It seems that this delicate blend of spending time together and maintaining distance plays a significant role in their relationship. In an interview with Page Six in November 2023, Taylor echoed this perspective, stating that being independent allowed them to find harmony in their romance.
