Sakamoto Days Chapter 179 recap
In the seventeenth ninth chapter of Sakamoto Days, named ‘Torres’, we find Sakamoto engaged in a discussion with Torres. Torres shares his strong aversion towards taking lives, viewing it as both terrifying, draining, and agonizing.
He criticizes the assassin profession, calling its members crazy, prompting Sakamoto to ask why he chose such a career. Torres admits that money is his main motivation, arguing that no one would kill if not for financial gain.
In Chapter 179 of Sakamoto Days, it’s revealed that Torres confesses his passion for gambling to Sakamoto when the latter questions him about his financial situation. Despite Sakamoto’s doubts, Torres firmly believes that those who give up are the real fools. The conversation comes to an abrupt halt as Sakamoto confronts Torres physically, causing them both to collide with a van.
Torres swiftly deflects the assault, noting that Sakamoto’s strength is yet to be fully developed. Suddenly, a loud sound echoes, causing Sakamoto to recoil from a burst of sand, damaging his Aramid Fiber shoes.
Looking closely at the situation, Sakamoto hears Torres state that he won’t eliminate him just now, but rather bide his time for an increased reward. Equipped with portable sand-blasters, Torres steps out of the vehicle in readiness to confront Sakamoto. In response, Sakamoto hurls a stop sign at him, which Torres effortlessly destroys.
In Sakamoto Days Chapter 179, as Sakamoto grasped the weapon’s devastating potential, he tried to escape, only for Torres to swiftly overtake him and hurl him onto a monorail. The subsequent clash between them resulted in Torres employing his blasters to carve through the monorail floor, narrowly causing a child to plummet to danger.
Sakamoto manages to rescue him, right when Torres enters the cabin. Upon arrival, Torres scolds Sakamoto for relying too much on luck, snapping the strap he holds and firing at Sakamoto while he’s falling. Despite being attacked, Sakamoto utilizes the broken strap to tug Torres down, forcing him onto a car.
In the final scene of Chapter 179, Torres emerges unhurt, whereas Sakamoto hobbles away. As Sakamoto ponders over his defeat and Torres’ past words about gaming and tactics, the chapter concludes.
