As a devoted fan who’s grown up alongside the enchanting world of Hawkins and its extraordinary inhabitants, I must say that Sadie Sink’s journey in portraying Max Mayfield has been nothing short of mesmerizing. From her humble beginnings as a newcomer in season two to the powerhouse actress she is today, Sadie’s transformation mirrors the evolution of our beloved characters in Stranger Things.
Actress Sadie Sink, known for her role as Max in the popular Netflix show Stranger Things across the last three seasons, has hinted at Max’s storyline and destiny in the forthcoming final and fifth season following her character being left blind and slipping into a coma during season 4.
During a chat with Entertainment Tonight, actress Sadie Sink – reprising her role as Max Mayfield in the last installment of Stranger Things – shared insights about her journey filming this beloved series as we approach its conclusion.
The actress shared with the media that the experience has been incredibly positive. She explained that since it’s the final season, they are eager to relish each moment. Moreover, she mentioned that they all look forward to spending quality time together and creating a season that fans have long anticipated.
In the latest update, the creators of the series, The Duffer Brothers, have confirmed to Variety that the actress from Dear Zoe will feature in the upcoming season. Ross Duffer hinted that they won’t disclose how this is possible yet, as he explained her character Max is currently in a coma.
Speaking of my recent experiences, I must commend Millie Bobby Brown for her exceptional acting prowess. I’ve witnessed her transform into a more self-assured artist, making bold and impactful choices on set. Most recently, we filmed a scene together that was nothing short of heartrending. I find myself at a loss for words, marveling at how she manages to strike those poignant emotional chords.
In an earlier conversation with Vulture, Sadie Sink spoke about her time portraying Max in Stranger Things. The actress explained that being part of the show since she came on board as a new character in season two, when she was quite young, has been immensely satisfying for her. Currently, she feels grateful to have such an engaging plotline and a character with exceptional growth. She also mentioned that the enthusiastic reactions from fans have been particularly gratifying.
As a die-hard enthusiast, I’ve always felt like the fresh-faced newcomer on our beloved series, but when Sink allowed Max’s power and resilience to shine, it struck a chord within me – an emotional highpoint I never envisioned during filming. It was a moment of pride I’ll cherish forever.
As a valued member of this expansive ensemble, I never know what surprises await me in the script or which acting talents I’ll get to demonstrate during each new season. This time around, I’m thrilled that the Duffer brothers have put their faith in me, entrusting me with the material for season four. With their trust comes a great responsibility, and I am determined to deliver my best performance, honoring Max’s character and doing justice for the creators who have given me this opportunity.
I’ve been absolutely hooked, living, breathing, and dreaming the world of Hawkins ever since binge-watching seasons 1, 2, 3, and 4 on Netflix! Can’t wait for the next installment (season 5) to drop – fingers crossed it’s sooner rather than later!
