Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have announced that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be the fourth Spider-Man movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is directing the film. The script is being written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who previously wrote Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Filming started in August, taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, and at Pinewood Studios in England, as well as other spots around the UK. The movie stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, and new cast member, Sink.

Producer Amy Pascal announced that this film will launch a new Spider-Man trilogy, picking up Peter Parker’s story after the events of No Way Home. Development on the project began in late 2021, and Destin Daniel Cretton was confirmed as the director in 2024.
Sony and Marvel have announced that the next Spider-Man movie, currently titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026. It will be part of the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
