Sterling Ruby’s artistic touch is revitalizing two classic Vans designs, the Old Skool 36 and Authentic 44, through a unique collaboration between S.R. Studio LA CA and OTW by Vans.
The two models feature a vibrant yellow foundation adorned with a marbled pattern of dark black spots, resembling anything from artistic paint splashes to tiny oil spills under a microscope. To add to the collaboration, white laces are contrasted against black, bearing the label “S.R. STUDIO LA CA.”
The base color of both models is bright yellow with a marbled pattern of dark black spots that look like paint splashes or oil slicks under a microscope. The laces are white on black and have “S.R. STUDIO LA CA” written on them, signifying collaboration.
Every silhouette preserves its original, untouched design, except for an upgrade to Vibram outsoles for improved traction and durability. The Old Skool 36 v includes Vans’ molded toe cap and reinforced sidewalls, while the low-profile Authentic 44 offers a sleek, lace-less toe box and foxing tape that mirrors Ruby’s monochromatic color contrasts.
