Ryan Reynolds Writes Scene For Blake Lively Starrer It Ends With Us; Actress Says ‘He Works On Everything I Do’

As a die-hard fan of both Blake Lively and romantic dramas, I can hardly contain my excitement for “It Ends With Us“! The fact that Blake’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, had a hand in writing a significant scene for this movie just adds to the charm. It’s not every day we get to witness such a heartwarming collaboration between a couple on and off-screen.

Blake Lively is gearing up to grace movie theaters once more with the film adaptation of “It Ends With Us.” In this romantic drama, Lively will star as Lily Bloom, sharing the screen with Justin Baldoni and Brandon Sklenar. At the film’s debut, it was revealed that her husband penned a significant scene for the movie; she walked the red carpet with Ryan Reynolds at the premiere.

During an interview with E! News at the event, the actress revealed, “My husband penned the memorable rooftop scene.” Additionally, she disclosed a little-known fact, saying, “Few people realize this, but now you do.”

The setting that Blake Lively (from Adaline) talked about to reporters was their initial encounter between the main characters, Lily and Ryle, which took place on a rooftop of a building. Fans love this scene particularly because of Colleen Hoover’s vivid description in her book. When discussing her professional relationship with Reynolds, she mentioned that he plays some role in her ongoing projects.

Live shared with the news outlet, “Everything I do, he’s involved too; and vice versa. Thus, when he succeeds, I share in his joy, and when I triumph, he rejoices with me.”

The famous pair previously collaborated on projects such as Deadpool & Wolverine and IF. Ryan Reynolds portrayed Deadpool in Deadpool & Wolverine, while Blake Lively took on the role of Lady Deadpool by wearing her costume. In addition to this partnership, they also joined forces for the John Krasinski-directed film IF. Reynolds was visible on screen in IF, whereas Lively provided the voice for the character Octopus in that movie.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always believed that open conversations foster understanding and growth. Initially, there was a bit of buzz surrounding “It Ends With Us” due to the announcement of its movie cast. Yet, hearing the discussions about it was far from bothersome for me, as it signified people were engaged and interested. In other words, the controversy was beautiful because it sparked conversation.

He commented, “If no one mentions your book adaptation, it might indicate a potential issue. In such a case, it would be cause for concern.”

Justin Baldoni not only stars in the film, but he also directs it. It was author Colleen Hoover who inspired him to take on the role of Ryle in the movie. She suggested, “Have you ever considered acting in this movie? Maybe as Ryle, perhaps? I believe you could pull it off.”

It Ends With Us hits theaters on August 9, 2024.
