Scarlett Johansson commented on the high-profile lawsuit between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, stating that the timing seems “quite unusual” since her directorial project, “Eleanor the Great,” is about to hit screens.
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but feel a pang of concern when I think about Scarlett Johansson and the legal turmoil surrounding her latest film. Although she herself isn’t a party to this dispute, the movie is produced by Wayfarer Studios – a company jointly founded by none other than my idol, Jensen Avalos Baldoni. It’s his baby that’s right in the thick of things now, and as a fan, it’s hard not to feel a bit anxious about the whole situation.
In her recent interview with Vanity Fair (published on May 14), Johansson discussed their connection, pointing out that they didn’t meet during the movie production, but she had a favorable encounter with his team instead.
Throughout the project, they provided tremendous support. However, their involvement seemed quite unusual,” she remarked, implying Wayfarer Studios’ role in the situation. The movie, jointly financed by Sony Pictures Classics, is slated for release towards the end of this year.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that Steve Sarowitz, a significant player in Baldoni’s team and his production partner, has shared news about the closure of Wayfarer Foundation. This announcement was made in an Instagram post on May 2nd.
According to a consensus reached by our board of directors, we’re initiating the phase-out, or closure, process for the Foundation starting today. Rest assured, all existing grant promises will be kept, and we’ll ensure a thoughtful and careful winding down of operations.
At 41 years old, Baldoni served as one of the original members on the board of the Wayfarer Foundation. This organization strived to foster spiritual growth within humanity, ultimately leading towards a more peaceful global civilization, by championing spiritually grounded and socially just non-profit organizations.
It Ends With Us Legal Drama Explained!
As a lifestyle expert reflecting on recent events, I must share my insights about the ongoing legal matter involving Lively and Baldoni. Several months following the movie’s premiere, Lively took the courageous step of filing a lawsuit against her former colleague. The allegations include instances of sexual harassment within the workplace and malicious attempts to tarnish her reputation through social manipulation.
Lively claims that Baldoni orchestrated a vindictive smear campaign which, in turn, led to emotional distress, fear, trauma, and intense anxiety for her. In essence, she is asserting that his actions caused her significant pain and discomfort.
In response, Baldoni has taken legal action against Lively and her spouse, alleging defamation, violation of a contract, and extortion. The matter has gained attention due to various public declarations, text exchanges, and court submissions.
The court case has been set for March 2026. It’s possible that Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman might need to appear as witnesses in this legal dispute.
