Having grown up watching the evolution of Marvel characters on the big screen, I can’t believe we’re now seeing Ryan Reynolds‘ R-rated Deadpool at Disney theme parks.
As a frequent visitor of Disney theme parks and an avid fan of Marvel Comics, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard the news that Deadpool would be making an appearance at two Disney parks this summer! The opportunity to meet and interact with the Merc with a Mouth in real life is truly a dream come true for me.
Deadpool gets first ever R-rated character experience at Disneyland
Disneyland is introducing the live-action Deadpool character portrayed by Ryan Reynolds for the very first time, based on an R-rated film. Starting three days prior to the movie’s premiere, Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine will be showcased at two of Disney’s international parks: Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, California, and Disneyland Paris in Paris.
Based on Entertainment Weekly’s report, Disneyland Paris is set to welcome the first live appearance of the R-rated film character, Deadpool. Instead of the typical meet-and-greet interaction, visitors can look forward to an entertaining show featuring Deadpool.
“Disney Days are irresistible even for Deadpool!” the Disney Parks Instagram post declared. “Find him temporarily at Avengers Campus.” In an accompanying remark, the account advised, “Don’t forget to catch #DeadpoolAndWolverine” in cinemas soon, and added in brackets that the movie carries a “Rated R” classification.

As an obsessed fan, I can’t help but rave about how the Deadpool & Wolverine writing team, made up of Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Ryan Reynolds, and perhaps a few ad-libs from Reynolds himself, took comedy to a whole new level in the latest Deadpool film. These brilliant minds outshone the humor in all previous Deadpool movies and even surpassed every laugh-inducing moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They left no stone unturned, poking fun at Disney and Fox’s business dealings or delving into the actors’ personal lives – nothing was off limits!
Shawn Levy’s stunning cinematography brings the MCU project “The Movie” to life, blending amusing moments with gripping gore. In the initial 35 minutes, non-stop action holds viewers captivated. However, the arrival of Cassandra Nova, Professor X’s formidable sister, momentarily decelerates the pace.
