Ryan Reynolds Attends It Ends With Us Premiere To Support Blake Lively; Actress Says, ‘It’s The Best’ To Have Him By Her Side

As a die-hard fan who’s been following their love story since the days of Green Lantern and Gossip Girl, I must say that watching Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively support each other at premieres never fails to melt my heart. It’s like a fairy tale come true!

Following Blake Lively’s appearance at the New York City debut of Ryan Reynolds’ film Deadpool & Wolverine a month ago, it was Ryan’s turn to reciprocate the support for his wife on August 6th during the premiere of her upcoming movie It Ends With Us. True to form, he did not let us down.

The actor stood prominently at New York City’s AMC Lincoln Square to honor Blake Lively’s latest film, and she was incredibly thankful for the show of support. According to People, who had an exclusive interview with the former Gossip Girl star, she described his presence as simply “the best.”

In addition, she shared her thoughts on the character Lily Bloom with a publication, stating that the movie revolves around those who adore and aid her throughout her journey. Lively expressed her sincere gratitude for experiencing such warmth and support during the film’s premiere.

At the event, the actress chose to honor Britney Spears by donning a vintage Versace dress that the singer had worn back in 2002. This specific gown was the one that Spears had worn nearly two decades earlier, as confirmed by Lively during an interview with People. She revealed her fashion choice to rewear an item previously belonging to the singer in a tribute post on Instagram, addressing Spears as the “ultimate queen.”

“Posting a photo of Britney in her dress on Instagram before the event, Lively commented: ‘Britney, many millennials have a memory or period in our lives that you’ve inspired us to shine brightly, powerfully, and joyfully through your immense hard work. Thank you for setting an example and helping women share their stories. Can’t wait for your biopic and all the amazing things to come!'”

As a devoted admirer of the Womanizer-inspired look by the singer, I decided to echo this style in my own way. I styled my curly hair in soft waves, mimicking Spears’ hairstyle when she wore that ensemble at Versace’s Milan Fashion Week show over two decades ago. In line with my character, who is a florist, Reynolds chose an olive green suit and added a floral boutonniere to his attire – a subtle tribute to me.

Additionally, alongside Reynolds, Lively, Justin Baldoni, Brendon Skelnar, Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Isabella Ferrer, and Alex Neustaender, received backing from Reynolds’ fellow Deadpool & Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman, Emily Baldoni (wife of Justin Baldoni), as well as others. Colleen Hoover, the author of the 2016 bestselling novel that the film is adapted from, was also present at the premiere event.

On August 9, “Lively’s latest film” debuts in cinemas, and it follows the tale of Lily Bloom, a budding florist who faces a challenging love triangle involving her teenage sweetheart Atlas Corrigan (performed by Skelnar) and her present lover, neurosurgeon Ryle (portrayed by Baldoni). Interestingly, Ryle directed the movie as well as starred in it. The script was penned by Christy Hall. Notably, Lively assumed dual roles in this production – both acting as the main character and serving as an executive producer.
