Royal Expert Claims Meghan Markle Was Shocked to Be Denied Windsor Castle; Report

As someone who has closely followed the royal family’s saga, I must say that the journey of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has been a fascinating rollercoaster ride. Initially, it seemed like a fairy tale come true – an American actress marrying a prince and moving into a castle. However, reality swiftly set in when they were relegated to Frogmore Cottage instead of the grandeur of Windsor Castle.

As a newlywed to Prince Harry, I envisioned embracing the grandeur of royal life within the walls of a castle. However, upon joining the family, it became apparent that my standing wouldn’t be at par with Prince William and Kate Middleton, as per insights from royal expert Tom Quinn. The realization that I would forever be in ‘second place,’ living in Frogmore Cottage instead of Windsor Castle, came as a surprise and potentially contributed to the tension and jealousy that ultimately led my husband and I to relocate to California.

It quickly became clear to Meghan that her union with Prince Harry would forever position her as a secondary figure. As per Quinn’s account, she was taken aback upon discovering she wouldn’t reside in Windsor Castle when she initially came to Britain. Following their 2018 wedding, the couple were granted Frogmore Cottage, which boasts ten bedrooms.

In 2020, they stepped down from their senior royal duties and relocated to California. Their son, Archie, and daughter, Lilibet (born in the U.S.) currently reside in Montecito. Following the publication of Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” in January, they were required to vacate Frogmore Cottage permanently.

The envy felt towards William and Kate, along with the strife it caused, played a significant role in their decision to depart the United Kingdom in 2020. Since relinquishing their senior royal roles, Archie (aged five) and Lilibet (aged three) have continued to reside in the U.S.

In his admission, he explained that Harry harbored jealousy towards his brother’s privileged lifestyle, born out of their birth order, as he strived to earn a living independently. For Meghan, it was enchanting that Harry was still a senior royal and in the line of succession. Yet, she soon understood that being the spare’s wife would forever position her in a secondary role.

Once she set foot in the UK and overcame the initial surprise of not being able to reside at Windsor Castle, Meghan came to realize that regardless of her efforts and charisma, her standing would remain unchanged, as suggested by some accounts. It is claimed that William and Kate’s elevated status stirred feelings of envy in Meghan and Harry.

According to Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty magazine and royal biographer, it’s plausible that Meghan Markle harbored feelings of envy towards Kate Middleton. She expressed this perspective in an interview with The Telegraph, suggesting that Meghan may have believed she would live as a princess in Windsor Castle, while instead finding herself residing in Nottingham Cottage and witnessing the happiness of William and Kate in their lovely home.

Seward further ruled out any chance of reconciliation between the two siblings and their spouses, pointing out that it’s said that Meghan holds a grudge against William and Kate for their elevated position. According to a source who spoke to The Telegraph, Meghan believed she had a greater claim to express her thoughts than Kate due to her professional background before joining the royal family.
