Rock icons Kansas hit the road in 2026 after troublesome 2025

For five decades, the band Kansas has created some of rock’s most memorable songs. However, recent health challenges have been difficult. The band and its fans are hopeful for a better year ahead.

Honestly, I’m super stoked! I thought Kansas might be done touring, but they’re hitting the road again in 2026, which is awesome. I already checked their website for tickets – you definitely don’t want to miss this tour if you’re a fan. Their shows last year were incredible, so I’m grabbing tickets ASAP!

In 2025, the band continued to perform live, even though none of the original members were still with the group. A serious heart attack prevented drummer and manager Phil Ehart from touring, and guitarist Rich Williams was temporarily unable to perform, but he’s expected to return for shows in 2026.

He’s the sole remaining original member of the band, but he’s a crucial part of their sound. He’s the one who played all those iconic guitar riffs on classic songs like “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Point of No Return.”

In addition to the health concerns of Ehart and Williams, keyboardist Ronnie Platt underwent surgery after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Thankfully, he is now recovering well.
