Robert Pattinson is starting to share a few details about The Batman Part II, and his recent comments are definitely worth noting for fans.
During an interview with Deadline at the premiere of A24’s The Drama, Robert Pattinson hinted that director Matt Reeves has exciting plans for the next movie.
Pattinson described the script as exceptional and believes the movie will be truly unique. He was particularly surprised by the sequel, noting it takes risks and ventures in a new direction compared to the original film.

Robert Pattinson Teases A Different Kind Of Sequel
The most important thing to understand is that Pattinson isn’t saying the next Batman movie will be just like the first one. He’s emphasizing that the sequel will explore new territory and be different from the 2022 film.
This approach is consistent with what Matt Reeves did with the first movie, focusing on a dark, detective-style story rather than a typical superhero action film.
Pattinson hints that Reeves is once again taking the story in an unexpected direction. This could lead to Bruce Wayne undergoing significant development, a more complex portrayal of Gotham City, or a film that surprises audiences with its bold choices.

Colin Farrell Also Calls The Script A “Masterwork”
Pattinson is not the only one hyping the sequel.
I recently listened to Colin Farrell on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, and he really sang the praises of the script for his new film. He didn’t hold back, actually – he called it a “masterwork,” and even went so far as to say it’s a defining example of its genre for today’s audiences. High praise indeed!
Farrell praised the show as exceptional, noting that Robert’s character has a compelling story arc for viewers to follow. He also described the script as complex, smart, profound, and richly detailed.
Two of the movie’s lead actors have now suggested that this film might be more than just a typical follow-up – it could be something truly special.

Rumors Continue About The Cast
Along with the new comments from Pattinson, casting rumors are still floating around online.
According to recent reports, Viggo Mortensen is a potential candidate to play Christopher Dent, the father of Harvey Dent, in an upcoming film. Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson are also reportedly being considered for roles in the movie.
Filming And Release Date
Filming for The Batman Part II is expected to start this spring, likely in late May in London, according to several sources.
I’m so excited for this movie! From what I understand, they’re planning to start filming in spring 2026, and it’s currently scheduled to come out on October 1, 2027. I’m really happy to hear that Andy Serkis will likely return as Alfred, and of course, Jeffrey Wright is perfect as Gordon. It’s going to be amazing!
