As a lifestyle enthusiast, let me share an intriguing revelation I recently experienced: I’ve traced the origins of my distinctive accent in Bong Joon-Ho’s forthcoming sci-fi masterpiece. In this film, I portray Mickey Barnes, a character who toils in a disposable capacity on a freshly established human settlement.
In the film, Pattinson’s character agrees to undertake perilous tasks, knowing that each time he perishes, a new clone takes over. The story follows the escapades of his 17th and 18th replicas, both of whom develop distinct and rather unusual accents.
At the Berlin Film Festival press conference, Variety reports that Robert Pattinson discussed the character whose accent in the film his voice mirrors. “I believe I figured it out today,” Pattinson remarked, starting to chuckle.
As he pondered over his portrayal in the film, Robert Pattinson realized with surprise that one of his character’s voices seemed to unconsciously echo Steve Buscemi’s accent from the movie Fargo.
Earlier in our conversation, Bong mentioned that he had thought about casting Peter Stormare as character number 18 in the film. That idea then led me to contemplate having Steve Buscemi play character number 17.
1996’s darkly humorous crime film titled “Fargo,” features Frances McDormand, William H. Macy, Steve Buscemi, Harve Presnell, and Peter Stormare in the cast. The distinctive Fargo dialect, born from the Minnesota-North Dakota region, is characterized by its close, prolonged “o” vowel sounds.
Originally, the actor portraying Batman may not have been cognizant of the impact during filming; however, he has since become conscious that it shaped his acting.
