Robert Pattinson Reveals Being Scared Of Horror Films; Recalls Once Doing THIS Out of Fear

It might come as a surprise that Robert Pattinson, the actor, shares a common fear with many others – he’s hesitant to watch horror films. In a recent conversation with GQ, during which he discussed his new project “Mickey 17” directed by Bong Joon Hoon, he admitted that he has grown “too sensitive” towards horror movies.

During his chat with the magazine, the actor from Twilight admitted to having watched a lot of “grim” content as a child. At that moment, he found it “edgy.” However, it seems those dark themes don’t hold the same appeal for him now.

In a recent interview, Pattinson noted an interesting twist: “I find myself growing more sensitive instead.” The actor explained this to the press, saying, “It’s odd, one would expect it to be reversed,” as people usually grow less fearful of horror films as they age. However, he added that he is no longer able to watch such movies nowadays.

Mickey, the director of film number 17, commented that perhaps Robert Pattinson’s reluctance towards these films stemmed from becoming a father in 2024, although he clarified that Pattinson had expressed his apprehension about such projects prior to this event.

In retrospect, the actor from The Devil All the Time admitted to feeling quite frightened lately. He reminisced about an encounter with a director known for creating chilling horror movies, which ultimately led him to watch one of these terrifying productions.

In simpler terms, Robert Pattinson, who plays Batman, revealed that he believed someone was attempting to burglarize his house. He stated, “I found myself sitting on my sofa with two kitchen knives at the ready, waiting for the intruder. I even fell asleep holding them near my neck on the couch. It was probably just a squirrel.” Interestingly, he did not mention the director’s name or the horror movie during this recollection.

As far as Pattinson’s latest venture goes, Mickey 17 is slated to hit theatres on March 7, 2025.
