Robert Downey Jr. shared a picture from a Super Bowl party where he was wearing an Avengers: Doomsday jersey, playfully reminding fans about Marvel even though there wasn’t a new trailer released during the game.
Downey posted the image to the tune of ACDC’s “Thunderstruck” and wrote: “Team Green 🏈.”
The photo features Downe wearing a green Avengers: Doomsday jersey and posing in front of balloons decorated with a football theme.
As a huge Marvel fan, I was a little surprised they didn’t do a big Super Bowl ad this year. Instead of a flashy trailer during the game, Robert Downey Jr.’s social media post quietly reminded us that Avengers: Doomsday is still coming. It’s interesting considering they just dropped a series of teasers that racked up over a billion views – they’re clearly doing something right even without the Super Bowl spotlight!
