Following a catastrophic cyberattack that resulted in the loss of many lives across the country, George Mullen – currently spearheading the Zero Day Commission – is on a mission to uncover the culprit responsible for this digital calamity.
However, as he delves further into the case, he encounters his own private hurdles that intensify the stress. The series explores the complexities of dealing with authority, accountability, and authenticity in an era plagued by falsehoods.
In this production, Robert De Niro works alongside an exceptional group of performers. Angela Bassett assumes the role of U.S. President Evelyn Mitchell, who enlists Mullen for a vital assignment. Jesse Plemons takes on the part of Roger Carlson, a character who was once Mullen’s advisor but has since become a political troubleshooter.
In this production, Lizzy Caplan acts as Alexandra Mullen, George’s driven daughter. Connie Britton assumes the part of Valerie Whitesell, a political strategist for Mullen. Joan Allen steps into the role of Sheila Mullen, a former first lady, and Bill Camp portrays Jeremy Lasch, a CIA director concealing hidden truths.
