Police have named Ivana Lisette Ortiz, 35, as the woman who allegedly shot at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home on Sunday. Ortiz has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, and her bail is set at $10.225 million. She is currently being held by police.
The Los Angeles Times reports that shots were fired at the singer’s property around 1:15 p.m. Pacific Time while they were home. A law enforcement source said the shooter, identified as Ortiz, fired from a white Tesla parked across the street. One bullet went through a wall, and the gate and a nearby RV were also damaged. Luckily, no one was hurt.
After the shooting, police used a helicopter to follow the suspect’s car to a shopping center in Sherman Oaks. They arrested Ortiz around 30 minutes after receiving the first emergency call. According to LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias, officers found an assault rifle and seven spent shell casings inside the Tesla.
Rihanna lives with her partner, A$AP Rocky, and their three kids – RZA, Riot, and five-month-old Rocki. It’s unclear if anyone else was in the house when the shooting happened.
Representatives for Rihanna have not responded to requests for comment from Variety.
