Rihanna returns to music with her latest single “Friend of Mine,” which was released on May 16th. This lively tune features in the soundtrack for the new Smurfs animated film, and interestingly, Rihanna contributes her voice to the character Smurfette within the movie as well.

A sneak peek at the track was unveiled earlier this week in a movie trailer, featuring Smurfette grooving and crooning within the colorful Smurf Village.
Rihanna’s Companion will team up with other popular artists like DJ Khaled, Cardi B, DESI TRILL, and Tyla for the film. The plot revolves around the Smurfs uniting to save their leader, Papa Smurf, who has been abducted by a malevolent sorcerer in this animated feature.
