As an ardent fan, I am simply enamored by the captivating journey of Dorinda Medley, a true Housewife icon. From her dreams of caviar and Champagne as a child to the grandeur of Blue Stone Manor, her life story is nothing short of extraordinary. The property itself, with its rich history and connection to her family, serves as a testament to her resilience and determination.
Dorinda Medley is all set to unveil her renowned Blue Stone Manor on a new reality show airing on Bravo. The initial season will focus on the 11,000 square feet of real estate belonging to Dorinda, a cast member from Real Housewives of New York City, as the show is currently in development.
From a young age, I harbored aspirations grander than my years, yearning for the elegance of Champagne and the luxury of caviar. As we passed by houses with Dad, I’d declare, “One day, this will be mine,” to which he would respond, “Absolutely, you’re a queen.” – Medley, in an interview with Architectural Digest, April 2020.
In my expert opinion, the upcoming show is likely to follow a format similar to Vanderpump Villa, where I, as the manager, oversee a vibrant team of young professionals in a brand-new restaurant setting. Meanwhile, the esteemed Mr. Sheen, at 59 years old, will lead his own dynamic team to ensure an unforgettable experience for our guests at the sprawling estate. This magnificent property spans eighteen acres and was acquired by the late Richard Medley, my husband, back in 2005. Tragically, he passed away in 2011, but I continue to carry on his legacy.
In a conversation with PEOPLE in December 2023, she expressed surprise at how long she managed to hold onto Blue Stone Manor.
Richard Medley acquired a historic stone manor, which Dorinda Medley believes is connected to her family’s construction legacy, as it was allegedly built by her grandfather and great-grandfather. In an interview with Architectural Digest in April 2020, Dorinda shared that she had long cherished the dream of owning this house, a desire her father also supported. Upon Richard’s passing, Dorinda expressed doubt about maintaining ownership of the mansion. However, as of December 2023, she admits to being pleasantly surprised that she has managed to hold onto the manor for so long.
After Richard’s passing, Dorinda Medley started considering selling Blue Stone Manor. However, her mother advised her to wait for a year before making any decisions, as she was still grieving. The place that had once been shared between Richard and herself left Medley uncertain about where the mansion would fit into her life as a single woman.

Following the passing of my husband, Richard, I initially planned to sell our home, Blue Stone Manor. My mother advised, ‘Wait a year! Don’t make any decisions while you’re in this emotional state.’ Consequently, I had the intention of selling it since Blue Stone Manor was a property we purchased together and intended as a retirement home for Richard.
Medley admitted that he hadn’t imagined living here on his own following his partner’s passing. He found it hard to picture this arrangement as part of his daily life afterwards.
As a longtime fan of reality television, I have to say that the Tudor-style home, which has graced our screens on numerous seasons of Real Housewives of New York (RHONY) and served as the backdrop for the second season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Including Ex-Wives Club, is undeniably iconic. Having followed the lives of these women for years, I find it fascinating to see where they spend their time off-camera, and this house has become a significant part of the narrative about them. It’s intriguing to witness how these high-profile figures interact within the walls of such a historic and elegant home, offering a glimpse into their personal lives beyond the drama that unfolds on the show. The Tudor-style home serves as more than just a setting; it’s a window into the real lives of the Real Housewives, allowing viewers like myself to gain a deeper understanding of these complex and captivating women.
Dorinda Medley has provided fans with an opportunity to visit Blue Stone Manor personally. In the year 2021, she made the historic 1902 house available on Airbnb, enabling guests to reside in the renowned property. Last August, she organized an exclusive garden tea party, inviting more of her audience to explore the estate.
She expressed the idea that if someone is generally kind and positive, they can expect to encounter positivity in their lives, while those who are more selfish or malevolent might draw negativity towards them. This was shared with PEOPLE magazine in October 2021.
As a devoted admirer, let me share my own take on Medley’s sentiments: Previously, Medley has confided that this home resonates with a vibrant, benevolent energy. She posits that optimism magnetizes beneficial entities, and those who have left us continue their existence in various forms of energy, rather than vanishing entirely. The profound impact the house’s positive aura holds on her underscores her intimate bond with this property and its significance within her life story.
Medley added, “My experiences with loss have led me to think that people don’t truly disappear; instead, they morph into a new form of energy.” He further stated, “I strongly believe that there is an abundance of positive and benevolent energy present within this dwelling.”
