As a seasoned player with countless hours spent in the realm of Final Fantasy, I must say this New Year Draw has piqued my interest! The Skysplitter for Cloud and Radiant Edge for Sephiroth look like game-changers, especially for those seeking to amp up their fire damage output.
In an exciting update for the game, both Cloud and Sephiroth have been equipped with fresh weaponry, expanding their impressive collection of gear. On the other hand, most other characters see little to no new additions, a circumstance that makes sense given their popularity levels. As staple figures in the Final Fantasy series, the periodic introduction of new weapons and equipment for Cloud and Sephiroth in rotation is an effective marketing strategy. We’re confident that fans of these beloved characters will be more than willing to splurge their Christmas savings on this banner.
Moving on to another topic, what effect do these changes in equipment have on the game’s environment? At first sight, the incorporation of fire-related weapons and support, along with Arcanum gear enhancements, appears to address a significant gap, namely the lack of fire-elemental damage. This is further enhanced by suitable Arcanum gear boosts.
The Cloud’s Skysplitter is a unique weapon obtainable exclusively through the gacha draw. Yet, players have an alternative way to secure this weapon via the wishlist system when it becomes available. While it’s not explicitly stated, it seems unlikely for this weapon to be limited, but there’s no official confirmation on that matter.

As a seasoned player with years of gaming experience under my belt, I can confidently say that my skills have significantly improved over time, and I attribute much of this progress to the games I play. For instance, in a game where patience is key, like Patience, I’ve noticed a marked improvement in my ability to strategize and think ahead after playing for 90 rounds.

340% of Non-elemental Physical Damage is inflicted on a single enemy. This ability also reduces their Physical Defense for 20 seconds, making it weaker by -6 additional seconds if used from mid-range, and -12 additional seconds if used in close combat. Furthermore, it decreases the enemy’s Fire Resistance for 20 seconds, again with an additional -6 seconds at low range and -12 seconds at very low range, but only when your character is between 50% to 100% health. Lastly, this ability slightly increases the chance of critical hits against the single enemy.

Review Notes
In this game, Skysplitter stands out as the fire weapon with the maximum damage modifier at an impressive 850% (with overboost). Glenn’s Crewkicker and Red XIII’s Rage Collar share the second-highest damage modifier. However, neither Glenn nor Red XIII have fire arcanum gear, making Cloud the ideal choice for dealing fire damage in the game. This weapon is a top priority to acquire because it surpasses every other fire-based weapon and complements Cloud’s new fire-focused arcanum gear exceptionally well. Moreover, Skysplitter boasts the highest base physical attack stat among all of Cloud’s weapons, offering an obvious improvement in raw physical attack power. Lastly, the R-abilities of this weapon align perfectly with a desired fire damage dealer build, focusing on physical attack and increasing fire potency.
As a gamer, I find that the Radiant Edge ability operates in a way reminiscent of Zack’s Black Whiskers, with both abilities affecting physical defense and, in the case of Radiant Edge, fire resistance as well. However, it’s important to note that the fire resistance debuff in Radiant Edge is contingent on Sephiroth’s HP levels, unlike Zack’s ability. But don’t let this minor difference daunt you, maintaining Sephiroth’s health should be manageable with a bit of strategic gameplay.
As a devoted fan, I often find myself appreciating Sephiroth’s magical damage dealing prowess, but there’s another side to him that’s equally intriguing – his wind physical damage dealer build with Dark Heavens. The addition of Radiant Edge to this setup is truly exhilarating, as it significantly amplifies his physical attacks. In fact, it boasts the highest physical attack among all Sephiroth’s weapons! This makes it an exceptional physical attack sub-weapon when Sephiroth isn’t even in my party. At level 90, it offers a 32-point physical attack boost and can potentially provide up to 54 PATK when fully overboosted. While it may not be an essential weapon for all situations, given that players can debuff fire resistance using the Fire Breach materia, it could prove invaluable in future content where we need to debuff a physical defense on a boss weak to fire, much like the Iron Giant’s situation with Zack’s Black Whiskers.
The decorative attire specifically designed for Cloud is the reward featured in this banner. As I explained in the preceding sections, it serves a vital role as a potent fire damage dealer. Now, Cloud can dish out lightning, fire, and water damage at an impressive level. Here’s to hoping we receive several stamps with each pull so we can quickly obtain this eagerly anticipated gear.
As a fellow enthusiast, I’ve got to say that while Sephiroth’s Festive Outfit might boost fire damage by 20%, it doesn’t quite compare to Cloud’s gear in my book. Personally, I wouldn’t rush to get this one at 12 stamps. But hey, if your heart lies with Sephiroth, go for it! If you’re up for a challenge and want to collect them both, be prepared to invest quite a few crystals.
As a fan, I’d say it’s an amazing canvas to work on, especially at the beginning of the new year when developers are generously doling out free crystals and draws. But remember, Yuffie could potentially join the game soon, so holding onto some crystals for her would be prudent.
As a longtime fan of the Final Fantasy series, I am eagerly awaiting any new developments regarding the New Year Draw for Final Fantasy Ever Crisis. With my years of gaming experience under my belt, I can attest to the excitement and anticipation that comes with each new update and event in this beloved franchise. In the meantime, I make it a point to keep up-to-date on all news and content related to Final Fantasy Ever Crisis by following the official site closely. I encourage fellow fans to do the same, as we can never have too much information about our favorite games!
