Reverse: 1999 celebrates 1.5 years with free Windsong skin and other goodies

Boasting a distinct vintage allure, Reverse: 1999 distinguishes itself among gacha games, maintaining its position amidst market turbulence for an impressive 1.5 years post-launch – making it worthy of celebration. The upcoming Version 2.5, titled “Showdown in Chinatown”, offers a host of free rewards to express gratitude towards players for their dedication and investment of time.

6-Star character Windsong gets a fresh new wardrobe that players can obtain for free once Version 2.5 launches on April 24, 2025, by simply logging into the game. During the 1.5th anniversary celebrations, gamers have the opportunity to claim up to 40 complimentary banner pulls through login events and gift items. Additionally, players will be rewarded with a voucher for the Garment Shop, allowing them to purchase their next costume at a reduced price.

Regarding standard storyline, “Showdown in Chinatown” introduces fresh character Liang Yue who’s on a mission to capture Nightpiercer, a lawbreaker whose crimes in LA are escalating wildly. However, the press portrays him as a vigilante rather than a criminal, which complicates the investigation process.

During Version 2.5, Liang Yue will be accessible, serving as a potent Damage Per Second (DPS) choice for players. Her Character Story, titled “Sow and Reap,” offers players an opportunity to delve deeper into her character. Additionally, this update includes other events and modes like the engaging challenge mode, Critter Crash, which resembles a board game.

In the second part of the update, there’s no sign of slowing down. It introduces an enigmatic 6-Star character, Hong Kong Director Noire, and a limited-time return of the Version 1.6 Story Event, titled Notes on Shuori. The current Version 2.5 will remain active until the end of May 2025, paving the way for Version 2.6 to debut thereafter.

Reverse: 1999 is a turn-based RPG available for free on PC, iOS, and Android.
