At Summer Game Fest 2025, the upcoming Resident Evil game was officially announced following a playful hint from Capcom earlier about needing “a bit more time” to unveil it. To everyone’s surprise, the game was swiftly revealed towards the end of the event as Resident Evil: Requiem.
In the upcoming main installment of the Resident Evil series, titled Resident Evil Requiem, a brief glimpse of “9” was shown before the subtitle appeared. The trailer provides limited information, but it appears we’ll be controlling a new character, Grace Ashcroft. Grace is the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, who debuted in Resident Evil Outbreak and had a brief mention in Resident Evil 7’s newspaper clipping. Unfortunately, it seems that Alyssa has passed away, leaving her daughter, now an FBI agent, to investigate unusual events.

We won’t have to wait much longer for the Resident Evil Requiem game as it is scheduled to be released on February 27, 2026. That’s only about eight months from now! It will be playable on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any announcement regarding a Switch 2 release yet.
