Her casual mention of “everyone dies” in a comedy sketch, a year before the release of Avengers: Infinity War, is a testament to her unique experience within the MCU.

Typically, Tom Holland is the one who leaks information about the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But surprisingly, a major spoiler slipped out that wasn’t from him; instead, it came from Elizabeth Olsen, the actress portraying Scarlet Witch.

Approximately one year prior to the release of “Avengers: Infinity War,” Olsen appeared on the podcast “Happy Sad Confused” alongside Josh Horowitz. During their conversation, they performed a humorous skit depicting the climactic battle between Thanos and Scarlet Witch.

At the conclusion of the sketch, Olsen declared, “Every soul eventually perishes.” In the film, Infinity War, Thanos accumulates all the Infinity Stones and then snaps, causing a massive reduction in the universe’s population. More recently, Horowitz revisited the sketch and gently pointed out to Olsen an earlier indiscretion of his own making. Intriguingly, it was actually Horowitz who had inadvertently revealed the plot twist, not Olsen, as she might have thought.

When I wrote it, you didn’t appear to show any signs of concern, and I find myself wondering if you had any doubts like: “Oh, this could potentially cause trouble, I might be spoiling the end of this movie a whole year before it even comes out.
