As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Colleen Hoover’s “Regretting You” is being brought to life on the big screen, with an anticipated release in the near future! Allison Williams and McKenna Grace have joined forces for this heartfelt collaboration, portraying the intricate dynamics of a mother-daughter bond. The captivating trailer for this moving cinematic production was unveiled by Paramount on Tuesday, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating every scene.

Looking forward to “Regretting You,” which is the second film version of Colleen Hoover’s novel, following “It Ends With Us.” The trailer has generated a lot of excitement among fans, who eagerly await its theatrical debut.

What is the Regretting You trailer about?

The trailer for Regretting You begins by showcasing McKenna Grace’s character Clara attempting to win over the most sought-after student at her school. She confides in her aunt about this secret endeavor but asks her to keep it hidden from Morgan Grant, portrayed by Allison Williams. Later on, Morgan playfully remarks to her sister, “It sometimes worries me how convincing a liar you can be.

As I eagerly awaited the next chapter in Clara’s life, fate cruelly intervened, leaving me heartbroken. The joyful family I had grown so fond of was suddenly shattered by an unforeseen turn: Clara’s father and her beloved aunt, Jenny, were tragically taken away by a devastating accident.

In the aftermath of this life-altering event, the once close-knit family found themselves torn apart. The sorrow that enveloped them was palpable, and it seemed as though an impenetrable wall had risen between Clara’s mother and herself. The bond they once shared had been fractured, leaving me worried for their future.

The movie is helmed by Josh Boone, renowned for his work on The Fault in Our Stars. On the subject of this project, he shared with Deadline, “Upon reading Regretting You, I was spellbound by the characters, and I felt we required a collaborative effort with an exceptional cast to bring it to life.” He further mentioned, “Our aim is to create a timeless piece that mothers and daughters will treasure for generations.

The cast consists of Grace and Williams, along with Scott Eastwood, Dave Franco, Mason Thames, Willa Fitzgerald, and Clancy Brown.

Regretting You will hit theaters on October 4, 2025.
