Deacon Phillippe, the offspring of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, is reportedly in discussions for his first major film role, sharing the screen with Liam Neeson.
On August 30th, it was reported by Deadline that Deacon might join forces with Liam Neeson in a fresh heist movie titled “4 Kids Walk into a Bank”. This sounds thrilling, doesn’t it? The film is also expected to star Talia Ryder, Noah Jupe, Whitney Peak, and Jack Dylan Grazer, as per the source.
The movie is adapted from the same-named graphic novel by Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Boss, and it’s slated to be helmed by Frankie Shaw in the genre of a gritty yet humorous crime story.
As per Deadline’s summary, Neeson takes on the role of Danny, a former bank robber who values his granddaughter Paige (Ryder) above all else. When he learns that his old gang intends to draw him back into one final heist to settle a debt, Paige devises what seems like the only sensible course of action.
1. He persuades his three most loyal companions to carry out a bank robbery the day before, as a means to avoid doing it himself. It’s not Deacon’s first venture into this field. Last year, the student at college made known that he was launching his debut album titled A New Earth.
In April of 2023, during his initial year at New York University’s music program, a 12-track album was released as Deacon’s debut. Additionally, his mother expressed interest in him exploring acting opportunities as well.
Previously, Mindy Kaling shared with Entertainment Tonight that Deacon Phillippe is incredibly gifted, undeniably good-looking, yet he originates from a family of highly accomplished actors. Despite his privileged upbringing, he expressed a keen interest in learning and honing his craft.
Apart from his debut film and another project yet to come, it’s worth mentioning that in July 2022, Netflix revealed Deacon would be part of the third season of “Never Have I Ever.” In this series, he portrayed Parker, a competitor on Devi Vishwakumar’s (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) debate team.
